Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
-
Poison: 252 / 542 / 999 -
Scarlet Rot: 252 / 542 / 999 -
Blood Loss: 252 / 542 / 999 -
Frostbite: 542 / 999
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs. The values after the "/"s indicate the increased resistances after each successive proc.

Mountaintop Ice Dragon Fight Strategy
Melee Users
The Mountaintop Ice Dragon is a fearsome beast that combines brute strength with chilling power. Its icy attacks can punish both reckless aggression and careless positioning, making it important to stay alert and recognize the visual cues that signal its next move. While its strikes are powerful, they come with predictable patterns that can be dodged and countered with the right timing.
Its standard Roar is a quick area-of-effect blast where the dragon juts its head forward and lets out a powerful scream. This move is often used when you're lingering too close to its front. As soon as you see the head pull straight out, back off or roll away to avoid the blast. Once it finishes roaring, the dragon pauses briefly to recover, giving you a chance to close in and land a few quick melee hits on its legs or side.
Wing Slam starts with the dragon taking a slight step back while pulling one of its wings into a coiled position. It then slams the front of the wing into the ground in a sweeping motion. This move targets players close to the dragon's side and can knock you down if caught. As the wing starts to pull back, roll away from the side under threat. After the slam, the dragon remains still for a moment, allowing you to rush in and strike the now-exposed wing joint or hindquarters.
The Low Stomp is a quicker but more focused attack. The dragon raises one foot to about knee height while keeping its head and wing high, then slams it down to create a shockwave around the impact zone. This move usually targets players directly in front of or underneath it. When you see the foot start to lift, dodge diagonally forward or to the opposite side. After the stomp lands, you'll have a short window to land a few clean hits near its legs before it repositions.
The dragon's most damage-dealing move is the Glacial Roar, a two-part scream that deals massive damage. It begins by folding its wings low to the ground, lifting its head high into the air, and letting out the first roar, followed by a second downward-facing roar immediately after. This combo hits a wide area around the dragon. When you see it crouch and raise its head, immediately retreat to a safe distance. After the second roar finishes, the dragon takes a long pause to recover, creating a rare but valuable opportunity to rush in and punish with heavy melee strikes or a combo to its flank or tail.

Mountaintop Ice Dragon Attacks & Counters
| Attack | Description | Counter |
| Roar | The dragon stretches its head forward and lets out a roar, releasing a burst of damage around its front and sides. | When you see the head drop and hear the inhale, back up or roll to the rear legs. |
| Wing Slam | The dragon steps back slightly, pulls back one wing, and slams it down heavily in front of that side. | As soon as it steps back and the wing rises, roll toward its opposite side or directly beneath its chest. |
| Low Stomp | With its head and wings held high, the dragon raises one leg up to about knee height and stomps it into the ground, releasing a shockwave. | Roll to the side just as the foot starts to drop. If you're already close, a diagonal roll toward its center works well. |
| Glacial Roar | The dragon folds its wings low and raises its head straight into the air, releasing a freezing roar in a large area. It then slams its head down and lets out a second roar that deals massive damage. | When you see the wings close and the head lift up, immediately back away or sprint out of range. |

AnonymousThe difference in quality between the two ice dragons in Nightreign is mind boggling.

AnonymousIt’s almost never worth it to try and fight this guy. Just run past him, get the blessing and leave

AnonymousCaligo from temu, quite literally since the drakes are canonically nerfed compared to ancient dragons

Anonymousmost lamest shifting earth event, the total buffs you can get from this doesnt even help you that much with sovereign adel, just detour the whole map and leave mountaintops the lowest priority

AnonymousIf it's the same as with Borealis in ER, the big fuckoff roar isn't random, it will always do it when it drops to around 70% health and then repeat it whenever it's off a rather long cooldown (which was also the same mechanic for the gigantic rot breath from Ekzykes in Caelid). So if you have a strong enough team, you can predict the first roar and then finish the fight before he does it again. Still probably not worth it considering how much of a detour it is just to probably still get your ass kicked anyway lol

Anonymous
AnonymousThe most fitting climax to the most useless event type in the game. Maybe an Executor or Revenant would use frost but it's flat out worthless on some nightlords and isn't the key weakness to any of them. The anti dragon buff works on a couple nightlords but it's never strong enough to be worth the waste of time the mountain demands.
