Bloodbane Giant Crows Fight Strategy

The Bloodbane Giant Crows are a pair of aggressive bosses that can be potentially encountered in the Ruins. The Bloodbane Giant Crows will have a limited moveset, primarily focusing on close-range attacks, making them one of the easier boss encounters. Each crow relies on using their beaks to peck or strike with its talons during short lunges or low-swooping motions. While their attacks can pressure players at close range, the fight is manageable due to their predictable attacks and clear telegraphs.

Throughout the encounter, the Bloodbane Giant Crows generally remain grounded, attacking players with short-range pecks and claw strikes. They will occasionally take flight to reposition, reteating before diving back down with its talons directed at a player. These attacks will have a noticeable wind-up, making them recognizable and allowing players to anticipate the incoming dives. As the crows lack any medium or long-range attacks, players can safely retreat to recover or reset their positioning whenever they need to.

Since most of the fight occurs on the ground, players can strafe around each crow to reach its rear, as it is the safest position during their attacks. The crows' attacks will also have a wind-up, giving players enough time to react accordingly. Their aerial attacks, however, can be difficult to avoid through movement alone. Players should rely on well-timed dodge rolls than strafing for evading the aerial attacks.

A Bloodbane Giant Crow dives down, slamming its talon onto the ground and damaging players caught by it. To avoid the attack, players directly beneath the crow can dodge roll towards any direction. Players may also move away from the Bloodbane Giant Crow as it dives down.

Peck Combo

A Bloodbane Giant Crow raises its head, spreads it wings, then proceeds to peck the ground three times. As the crow winds up the attack, players can position behind them to avoid the whole attack while also allowing them to retaliate against the crow.
