Two Nightlords tormenting Limveld will also be added, alongside other new field bosses. A new Shifting Earth, known as The Great Hollow, will also appear in this new DLC. The Great Hollow, a great cavity in the depths of Limveld. The hollow is strewn with exotic ruins and temples; sacred towers denoting the remains of an ancient people; and crystals that exude a cursed, life-draining miasma.

The Forsaken Hollows DLC will also include the Elden Ring Nightreign Digital Artbook and Mini Soundtrack for players who purchase The Forsaken Hollows DLC before its release.

Elden Ring Nightreign Duo Mode

On June 3, 2025, it was announced that Elden Ring: Nightreign will be getting a DLC that will be releasing later this year. Although that is still in development, they have also announced that Duo Mode will be released. The new Patch Notes 1.02 will be coming out on July 30, which will not only include the Quality of Life improvements, such as Relics filtering options, but also allow players to go on Duo Expeditions.

Benefits of Playing Duo Mode in Elden Ring Nightreign

Boss difficulty and health will be scaled down to balance the gameplay for a Duo Expedition. Although it will make defeating the boss easier than a standard 3-player party, it will be slightly more difficult to revive teammates when downed, as there will be no third player to draw attention from the Boss. This is where the party composition will be most important to have two different classes complement each other's skill set, as well as the best pairings when one is downed.

Another Benefit is not needing to wait for a third player if you wish to play with a friend, which makes waiting for an expedition quicker and more efficient. Although there is a setting to set a number of password players, it does not change the limit of the party. Which means it will still look for a third player when matchmaking for an expedition.

So the dlc's called "The Forsaken Hollows" and is dropping in 3 weeks on the 4th of december, and there's quite a bit of new stuff. The new shifting earth called the "Great Hollow" which is a giant crystal cave that's probably as big as noklateo or maybe bigger, enemies from sote are back like the dancing lion which you fight in what looks like the inside of a divine tower, messmer soldiers and fire knights which hint at messmer possibly returning, artorias is back for real as a night boss, 2 new nightords, one being 7 valkyrie-like enemies as one boss, and the other being something like a dragonkin soldier and bayle mashed together in a field filled with nasty sludge and what look like ruined buildings and stuff, and will apparently be called the "Dreglord". Finally, 2 new characters. The "Scholar" who looks like a spellblade but "boasts impressive arcane levels", and the "Undertaker" who's a str/fth build who uses maces and hammers and teleports. All this for $20 since I'm in canada, I'm buying it as soon as it drops.

Allow Nightfarers to use other skills along with there own. Dutches using Cocktail, or Executor using the mark skill. That's Op, but hear me out. These changes can only be used in the deep of night. In order to use these skills you must complete a challenge. For example, Completeing a deep of night 3 with no relics solo or duo. Or fighting a special boss in a quest line. That would make players play much more with the new skills. Also adding more content from SOTE. Honestly just put everything in the game randomized. Messmer , Radhan everyone. Make this game one of those games like fortnite that always expanding and adding skins. This game can be one of those games that can be playable for the next decade by slow adding more and more content just like Fortnite. Imagine 16 playable characters All the bosses from Elden ring and dark souls 1-3. All at random. This game can be forever.

I am excited to see what they do with the dlc weapons if they add them. I specifically wonder what special legendary passive the sword lance will have.

my assumptions is that one of the new characters is either a monktype character that focuses on fist weapons or someone that focuses on perfumer bottles

            • I would like to see a battle mage character, inspired by Rellana from the DLC, as a new Nightfarer.

              Weapon specialty: light greatswords.
              Stats: STR B, DEX B, INT A, FAI A.

Character passive: Restores 20% of total FP with each successful hit, either from weapon attacks or skills.

Character skill: Similar to Recluse, the battle mage can combine elemental attributes to create custom skills. However, unlike Recluse, the battle mage can only combine two elements at a time. To activate or unlock an element, the character must land a hit with either a weapon or a skill. This encourages a more aggressive and tactical playstyle.

Character ultimate: A move similar to Scarlet Aeonia, but elemental. The element of the ultimate depends on the element of the last hit made before activation. In addition to the explosion, the ultimate increases the damage of weapon skills by 50% to 100% for 15 seconds.

If we were to get only two new nightfarers I'd want a knight with a medium shield/straightsword combo, and a pirate class with either a hand cannon or some type of early gun with a cutlass

from my perspective i hope that they add a strength ranged that uses ballistas and greatbows and also a couple bosses from maybe sekiro or bloodborne because they have been ignoring those two games i would love to see orphan of kos or isshin in nightreign

                    - eternal sleep + works on night lords
                    - Sekiro secret techniques
                    - sote + er remembrance bosses ie godfrey, Malenia, messmer w new attacks

Really hoping the next character is a Strength/Faith or Dex/Fairh user. They really need more day one and day two bosses and replace the ones you already find as standard bosses in the map. I swear I fight the bell bearing hunter every run.

If my comparison between DS2 and nightreign is correct, fromsoftware is planning to release a fire &/or frenzied flame focused character and maybe an incantation/miracle castor (unless its the Revenant, then NM). A NPC(?) who would later become crippled.

I do have a feeling one of the DLC bosses is going to involved with death or the Abyss.

I personally hope they continue to update this game for a while im officially addicted and put so much time into it

The game is perfect, Miyazaki is truly a visionary. I wish there was more DLC content to chew on because the base game was way too easy (everything only took 1 run with my group but not in the DLC). I would happily pay more for it!

Game feels like early access. Hope the DLC will add new maps, more seeds, more enemies and bossess (from elden ring and dark souls), more weapons and true roguelike skills (and not just boring parametric stats up).

It's a great video game no doubt. More content is needed.

They absolutely need to make use of the rest of the Elden Ring map (including the SOTE map), and make use of the plethora of bosses they have from ER and the other Souls games.

I do hope this game updates with new stuff. Adding more night 1 and 2 bosses from dark souls would be great.

                                  • May be an unpopular opinion but I hope this game gets updates for a while. I really think this is a spiritual successor to Bloodbornes Chalice Dungeons, which, if expanded upon, could have been one of Bloodborne's highlights
