Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
Poison: Immune
Scarlet Rot: Immune
Blood Loss: 154 / 252 / 542 / 999
Frostbite: 154 / 252 / 542 / 999
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs. The values after the "/"s indicate the increased resistances after each successive proc.

Gaping Dragon Fight Strategy
Melee Users
The Gaping Dragon is a relatively manageable boss fight. For melee players, the safest spots to position yourself are along its left rear side or its right front side. Staying on its left rear avoids the risk of its left leg stomp, which can catch you if you’re positioned in front of it. The right front side is also generally safe, just be mindful of its tail sweep, which has decent range and can still hit you if you’re not far enough away.
If possible, try to cut off its tail early in the fight. Doing so not only drops random loot but also reduces the range of its tail sweep. But even after the tail is severed, the attack can still clip you if you're too close to the stump.
The most dangerous attacks to watch for involve its acid. When the Gaping Dragon begins to form acid in its mouth, immediately retreat. Its Acid Throw-Up covers a wide area around its body and can quickly punish anyone too close. Another move to watch out for is its Engorge attack, where it rears back and slams its exposed ribcage into the ground. This move leaves the dragon stunned momentarily, exposing its head and giving you a window to attack. Take advantage of this opening and get in as many hits as you can while it's vulnerable.

Gaping Dragon Attacks & Counters
| Attack | Description | Counter |
| Engorge | The Gaping Dragon pulls its upper body back, then slams its exposed ribcage into the ground in front of it. | Dodge roll to avoid the initial slam, then move in quickly to land a few hits. The Gaping Dragon will be stunned for a few seconds after the attack, leaving its head exposed and vulnerable. |
| Tail Swipe | The Gaping Dragon swings its tail in a wide horizontal arc to its right side. | There’s a noticeable wind-up before the tail swipe. As soon as you see the Gaping Dragon lift its tail, roll away from its right side or block if you’re using a shield. |
| Foot Stomp | The Gaping Dragon raises its left leg before stomping it down in front of it three times. | Each stomp lands with a brief pause, giving you time to react to each one. Dodge roll through the first stomp, then either back away or circle around to its side or rear to land a few hits in while it's still locked in its stomping animation. |
| Acid Throw-Up | The Gaping Dragon curls the teeth of its upper body inward and begins to writhe slightly, then squats down and vomits a pool of acid that spreads across a wide area around it. | As soon as you notice the acid forming in its mouth, back away immediately and put as much distance as possible between you and the Gaping Dragon. The acid covers a large area around the dragon. |
| Acid Spit | The Gaping Dragon forms acid in its mouth, and as it walks around the arena, it spits or drops acid around its body. The acid is released in random spots near its legs and surroundings as it moves. | Back away and watch closely for the acid bursts around its body. It's best to wait for the acid burst to spot before moving in. |
| Body Slam | The Gaping Dragon jumps into the air, then drops down and slams its body on the ground. Another variant of this attack has the Gaping Dragon leaving an acid trail around its feet as it jumps. Upon impact, it releases bursts of acid in random directions around its body. |
As soon as it prepares to jump, immediately back away, especially if it’s the version where it leaves acid trails. Keep your eyes on the dragon and avoid the landing zone. If it performs the acid burst on landing, be careful and look out for the acid that shoots out in random directions. |

AnonymousSo for night 1 bosses, you can have this, or demon princes...

Hmm... I got satiated my nostalgia with this boss. But I don't see why it is night boss. Too easy - I never had any hardships with it. If use DS1 bosses I think the Asylum Demon, Capra Demon(with dogs :)), Quilaag, Crossbreed Priscilla would be better. Or the best will be Ornstein and Smough or Great Grey Wolf Sif

AnonymousReally easy, but damn is it good to have the vagina crocodile back, missed ya bud.
