What is the aim for the Network Test in Elden Ring Nightreign?

From Software history with Network Test is well-recorded. They have used them in the past to gather important player data, as well as feedback regarding systems, mechanics, and features of their past games. Besides all that, Network Tests are usually used to stress test servers and see how they perform.

All this information is vital for From Software, and companies in general that deploy Network Tests, to be able to improve upon their already created product.

What to expect in the Network Test for Nightreign?

Players can expect to try out the core mechanics of the game. Choosing one of the Heroes, and teaming up with up to 2 other people to have a taste of the basic and fundamentals of Elden Ring Nightreign.

Character Skills/Ultimate Arts

You can hold down the [△] button and press the [L2] button to use a Character Skill, or hold down the [△] button and press the [R2] button to use an Ultimate Art.

Skills

Equip a weapon that comes paired with a Skill and press the [L2] button to activate it. When carrying weapons with Skills in each hand, the left armament will be prioritized, but you can switch to the right hand by using two-handed mode in order to activate that weapon's Skill. If you have no armaments equipped in the left hand, depending on the armament equipped in the right hand, its Skill might be used in both two-handed or one-handed modes.

Depending on the Skill, it might be possible to unleash several derivative attacks by pressing the [R1] / [R2] / [L2] buttons after activating the Skill. The FP gauge decreases when using Skills. If the FP gauge is reduced to 0, it will not be possible to activate any Skills.0

Guard Counters

Dual Weapon Attacks

Pressing the [L1] button when both hands are equipped with a weapon of the same category will perform a special attack.

Stance Breaks & Critical Hits

The enemy's stance might break depending on the attack. Pressing the [R1] button after parrying, behind an enemy, or against a fallen enemy will cause a Critical hit. Also, by touching the Red Phantoms of players from other worlds who failed to survive, you can obtain the equipment they were carrying before they died in that same spot.

What are Relics in Nightreign?

Relics in Nightreign are permanent progress for Nightfarers that is earned after every successful and unsuccessful run, and they appear to be randomized from a pool of Relics, but this will need more testing to confirm. Relics provide passive benefits to each Nightfarer once equipped in Roundtable Hold, and each Relic in Nightreign has a different color: REDGREENBLUE, or YELLOW. Each Nightfarer has 3 Relic slots that are color coded, so you can ONLY slot Relics into them of their matching color. Below you can see a list of which Nightfarers have which combinations.

Additionally, Relics have 3 versions a "Delicate" version that only provides 1 passive bonus, a "Polished" version which has 2 passive bonuses, and a "Grand" version which has all 3 passive bonuses. This means if you find a Relic that you like you should be hoping to get the Grand version of it eventually to get the most benefits from it. Note that some Relics provide benefits that only apply if used by specific Nightfarers, and you should try to use these on them when you can for maximum benefit.

You can equip the Relics you obtain by going to the Relic Rites menu. By doing so, you can gain special effects, such as attribute boosts. The effects of the equipped Relics will be activated at the start of the Expeditions, and they will not be consumed.
