Everdark Sovereigns are Events in Nightreign that follow the same core structure as the base Expeditions, though they come with tougher Nightlords and reward players with Sovereign Sigils upon completion. These events are started from the Roundtable Hold, where players can choose the Everdark Sovereign version of an expedition before setting out. This page covers the key differences between Everdark Sovereigns and regular Expeditions, along with how to use the Sovereign Sigils earned from them. At the moment, Everdark Sovereigns are only available on a time-limited basis, though there are plans to make them a permanent part of Nightreign down the line.

Features of Everdark Sovereign Expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign
Everdark Sovereigns share the same overall structure as standard Expeditions, lasting three in-game days with similar objectives and progression along the way. Where they really stand apart is in the difficulty of the final boss fought on the third day, the Nightlord. In these encounters, the Nightlord comes equipped with enhanced attack patterns, faster follow-up moves, and entirely new abilities not seen in the standard fight. These changes ramp up the difficulty considerably, offering a fresh and demanding challenge for more skilled Nightfarers. Successfully taking down one of these enhanced Nightlords rewards players with Sovereign Sigils, which cannot be obtained in regular Expeditions.
What are Sovereign Sigils in Elden Ring Nightreign
Sovereign Sigils are a unique reward obtained exclusively through Everdark Sovereign Expeditions. These special sigils serve as a new form of currency and can be used to trade with the Collector Signboard located in the Roundtable Hold. In exchange, players can obtain valuable Chalices and Relics which can be equipped before heading out for an Expedition. Defeating an Everdark Sovereign Nightlord for the first time will yield additional Sovereign Sigils
How to unlock Everdark Sovereigns in Elden Ring Nightreign
To unlock an Everdark Sovereign, players need to have defeated at least the original version of that Nightlord first. For example, unlocking Everdark Sovereign Adel requires having beaten original Adel at least once. Once unlocked, the Expedition list from the Roundtable Hold will display that Everdark Sovereign at the bottom of the list. Each Everdark Sovereign remains available for 7 real-time days before disappearing, at least for now, with the next Everdark Sovereign boss taking its place afterward.
Which Nightlords will have an Everdark Sovereign in Elden Ring Nightreign?
FromSoftware stated that the Everdark Sovereign variant of the Nightlords will be released over the next few weeks, with these Expeditions being time-limited events for the meantime. These are the Expeditions that will have an Everdark Sovereign variant:
Boss Schedules of Everdark Sovereign Expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign
The new upcoming Everdark Sovereign events will have Everdark Sovereign bosses come as pairs and will be available starting 10 July until 31 July. Sharing the same mechanic as previous Everdark Sovereign events, once the timer expires for the paired bosses, a new pair will be replaced.
The new schedule for the Everdark Sovereign will be as follows:
- July 10 - July 17: Gaping Jaw & Darkdrift Knight
- July 17 - July 24: Sentient Pest & Darkdrift Knight
- July 24 - July 31: Gaping Jaw & Sentient Pest
Other familiar Everdark Sovereign Bosses will also appear, such as Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. These bosses may also be released as pairs, this section will be updated once more information on their schedule is available.
The flow of an Everdark Sovereign Expedition remains largely the same as a standard Expedition, taking over three in-game days, with each day lasting approximately 15-20 minutes in real time. These Everdark Sovereigns are still time-sensitive, requiring players to complete objectives and defeat the Nightlord at the end of the third day. The primary difference is the increased difficulty of the Nightlord encountered on the final day, as they feature significantly altered attack patterns, increased power, and new attacks that are notably more difficult to deal with for players, requiring more strategic preparation. In an Everdark Sovereign, players should be ready for a greater challenge and have optimized gear suited to the targeted Nightlord.
All Everdark Sovereign Expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign
A many-legged beast appearing from shadow, carrying on its back a chain-link sword used to hunt its prey. Between the fangs of its many heads flicker overwhelming flames. When assailed by multiple shadows, only sacred light can hinder the hunt.
An ancient centaur consumed with battle. His fervor for the gods he serves yet burns within, wielding a sacred form of the Night's power. According to legend, the mightily radiant gods were able to conceal themselves in the roar of the thunder.
A colossal, crooked black frame capable of harboring lightning, with massive jaws, lined with grinding teeth to devour anything and everything it encounters. Only poison will stop it in its tracks.
A flying insect and living shears that trail the earth. Those lucky enough to escape the former's rain of magic light fall victim to the shears. If moth poison is ingested, it will eat through the host — a parasite that cannot be removed alone.
A goat-headed being who pretends to be a man, said to be able to use a dubious form of alchemy. Counterfeit gold causes loss of sanity, beckoning madness. However, those who foment madness are sure to succumb to the selfsame malady in the end.
A prehistoric dragon which lurks within fog. The great shadowy pair of eyes, framed in frigid mist, are said to appear at history's great junctures. Its coldness can readily purloin the living warmth of its victims.
An unknown entity that drifts through the skies. It makes an ocean of its surroundings, that it may blend with whatever life is found, as if in a dream. Exercise caution, warriors. The enemy may not always be that which can be seen.
Seven valkyries clad in white armor. These servants of the heavens restore the balance of the world by wielding heroic weapons that purify chaos. But even heroines must one day sleep, so why not retire early to the annals of history?

AnonymousGnoster is the only Everdark Sovereign that clears the base version. Adel, Gladius, and Caligo are all sidegrades, their difficulty doesn't make them better fights. Maris is a better spectacle but still boring and Libra is straight ass, nobody asked for Promised Consort Halflight Spear of the Church. Fulghor is arguably an improvement too but the horrible accursed snot arm phase still sucks, base phase 1 + everdark phase 2 would've been good.

AnonymousI'm hoping we get Everdark Sentient Pest and Darkdrift cycling back soon, they're the only ones I haven't had the chance to fight yet.

AnonymousLast weed it was Libra and caligo, now it’s gladius and adel, seems to be no predictable pattern as of now. I just want augur back so I can get easy wins for my remembrances lol

AnonymousJust saw the leaks for the gladius, Libra, and caligo everdark bosses. They’re just as lazily designed as the other disappointingly easy and annoying everdark bosses so far.

AnonymousCaligo is gonna be so peak based on the phase 3 ost alone, was not expecting such a somber piano at the end of a fromsoft track, holy peak

AnonymousI know what Everdark Libra is like: He gets some new attacks, and, he can summon night invaders, it will say on the corner of your screen "A demon summons a condemned" or " A demon incites a riot", an exact clone of yourself, and you have to fight it, 1 or even 2 invaders solo, but I think in trio mode, there MIGHT be 3 or 6 night invaders to fight, imagine the chaos.

AnonymousFrom FromSoft's point of view:
"Poorly designed" Everdark Nightlords in eyes of players - "greatly designed" Nightlords in eyes of From.
AnonymousUpdate your page, slowpokes. Have completed 2 Augur Raids already

AnonymousNobody cares about a tsunami in Japan just release everdark augur and duos mode on the 30th man.

AnonymousIf they really do intend on giving all of the Nightlords an Everdark form, it'll be interesting to see how they pull it off given how all of the other Nightlords that we haven't seen in Everdark don't really have distinct second-phases. For example, with Adel, Fulghor, and Gnoster, they all begin the Everdark fights IN second-phase. If they do an Everdark Libra, for example, is he just going to be automatically buffed by his whole meditation stance? And will Gladius start off as three separate beasts? Curious...

AnonymousSo the next boss is Adel again? That's disappointing, but maybe they're taking more time to work on the balancing.

AnonymousPleas give us a relic that's not garbage for the Dark Knight Libra.

Anonymous
AnonymousI hope they'll rotate again because I had very little free time while the Darkdrift Knight was the everdark sovereign and I didn't manage to beat him and to get his relic :/

AnonymousI really hope that gladius/tricephalos give you giga stamina regen on attacks

Anonymous
Anonymousdo you think night aspect is going to be an everdark sovereign?

Anonymous
Anonymousfirst everdark is too annoying, the next is too easy. i guess balancing isn’t what fromsoft likes anymore.

Anonymous
Anonymousboth have been peak so far, I assume they're gonna go on a rotating schedule once all of them have been finished, or maybe they'll just all be available at once after a certain point? funny enough we managed to beat both first try, only to struggle severely in every other attempt lmao

AnonymousYou should get 2500 murk + a free relic if you have connection errors and leave during a night lord fight

Anonymousthis boss is really fun especially where it has the passive ability of crashing the server and not having a backup

Anonymousnew main bosses, new map events, new characters, new field bosses, new night bosses, new items, new additions to the game, thats what i like to see.
These upgrades from existing bosses and making it a timed event and the shop wich makes the other bosses bad to kill now, because you get so much less currenc is not what i like to see.
I havent played since the Update and will only do so with friends some time again, but i dont care about this Update and Shop, which is not adding anything new to the game.
AnonymousIf you are replaying him for more sigils, activating the mountain earth shift works well, allowing you to access anti dragon effects and cold weapons (he's very weak to frost and also a dragon)

AnonymousLost a run because the game bugged and I was taking the storm DoT the entire fight...

Anonymous
AnonymousShame they arent doing one for the night aspect, I wanna see him take the entire dark moon or primeval current or whatever cosmic fuckery that caused the night and slam it down right on my face.

Anonymousi reaaaallllyyyy hope this is like monster hunter where the event things go live all at once permanently when the game stops receiving content updates. that or they rotate out every day/week to keep things fresh and keep the mm pools less diluted.

AnonymousI just want it to stop running the hell away. The moment it spawns the massive tornado, it just never, ever stands still...

Anonymous
AnonymousJust beat enhanced adel for the second time and it gave me no sigils, and btw the first kill gave me only 20 and not 25, is this a bug

Anonymous"Sir, how can we make the boss harder?"
"Make him nuke the arena"
"Yeah, we did that"
"Make him nuke the arena multiple times"
"I mean... a lot of bosses in Nightreign already do that"
"How about a bigger nuke that does more damage then?"
"...we already did that"
"Hmmm... i know, how about a bigger nuke that goes off multiple times?"
"I-isn't that kinda boring and cheap? Can we get a little more creative, like a boss that summons minions, or new moves, or give him lifesteal, or..."
"Oh, I know! Make the nuke kinda invisible and unintuitive, so players have to learn by trial and error"
"..."
AnonymousStarted the expedition as Duchess for the Gaping Jaw and there were no enemies visible to me anywhere. The Revenant and Executor that I was playing with were fighting enemies that I could not see or harm in any way. There were no merchants. I could not interact with sites of grace. Executor quit. Very odd first go at it to say the least. I was freed by the 6 red letters in the end.

AnonymousI love these comments, calling the Everdark Adel dissappointing. You guys know that the things they added were his scrapped third phase? It won't become an entirely new bossfight, if you thought that would happen, you are just delusional.
Be happy we even got something like this, they could have just continued to let it be scrapped and not given us this event with new chalices to biy for it.
AnonymousThis boss is so stupidly cute with how it waddles nonstop trying to attack while I chase after it.

Anonymous
AnonymousNEEDS to be online for these to appear. This sucks. Console players without a subscription are locked out of content. Not even Capcom does stuff like this, you don't need a PS+ to fight arch-tempered monsters. Not a fan of FOMO either.

AnonymousRRAAAHH I LOVE AOE ATTACKS I LOVE NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE RAAAAAAHHHHHH WTF IS A PUNISH WINDOWWW

Anonymous
AnonymousAnyone else unable to access this raid? I’m on ps4 and I play offline on the newest patch.

I'm so tired of those bosses with one-shot huge AOE attacks with abstract hitboxes...
