Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
-
Poison: Immune -
Scarlet Rot: 154 / 252 / 542 / 999 -
Blood Loss: Immune -
Frostbite: Immune
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs. The values after the "/"s indicate the increased resistances after each successive proc.

Tibia Mariner Fight Strategy
Melee Users
The Tibia Mariner is a strange and haunting boss that looks like a hunched skeleton dressed in lace, riding a ghostly boat that floats across the ground. It attacks using a large horn and calls on undead skeletons to help during the fight. While the Mariner itself is slow, its teleporting and constant summons can make the battle tricky if you're not careful.
The Tibia Mariner encounter is less about the boss itself and more about managing the constant threat of the undead skeletons it summons. While the Mariner doesn’t have many direct attacks, it primarily attacks with slow horn swings when you’re close, but the fight can quickly become overwhelming if you let the summoned skeletons pile up. The longer the battle drags on, the more frequently the Tibia Mariner will summon reinforcements, turning the tide against you.
To prevent getting swarmed, have two of your party members focus on crowd control and prioritize dealing with the skeletons. AoE skills and sweeping attacks are especially effective for taking down groups quickly. Do note that skeletons will revive unless you strike them again while they’re downed.
While your allies handle the skeletons, you should focus solely on the Tibia Mariner. It moves slowly but will occasionally teleport to a different part of the battlefield, making it frustrating to chase down, especially with all the undead skeletons trying to attack you. Try to stay locked onto her and chase her down as soon as she teleports.
Once your team has cleared out a wave of undead, shift all your focus to the Tibia Mariner before she can summon again. This is your best window to deal sustained damage and potentially finish the fight.
Magic and Ranged Users
For Magic and Ranged users, this fight should be relatively easy, as long as you manage the skeletal minions effectively. The Tibia Mariner itself is slow and has limited options to punish you at range, so your main priority early on is crowd control.
Focus on eliminating the skeletal minions first using AoE spells or attacks. Make sure to strike their corpses once they’re down to prevent them from reviving. This is very important, especially while your melee teammates are locked in with the Tibia Mariner and relying on you for backup.
Stay aware of your team's positioning. If a melee ally takes down a skeleton but can’t finish it off due to being overwhelmed, you should step in and finish it off. Team coordination like this lets your allies stay focused on the boss.
If the mobs start to overwhelm you, sprint away. Once you’ve created some space, strafe to gather them into a cluster, then use an AoE spell to down them all at once. From there, finish off their reviving bodies and return your attention to the Tibia Mariner.
Tibia Mariner Attacks & Counters
| Attack | Description | Counter |
| Horn Swing | The Mariner swings its massive horn sideways in a wide arc, aimed at nearby players who come too close to the boat. | Roll to the opposite side of the swing direction or stay just outside melee range. After the swing, the Mariner takes a brief moment to recover, leaving it open to ranged attacks or a quick punish from behind. |
| Teleport | The Mariner fades out with a brief animation and teleports to a distant part of the battlefield. Upon reappearing, it resummons a wave of Skeletons at the new location. | As soon as the boss begins fading, take the opportunity to clear out any remaining Skeletons. After the teleport, sprint toward the new location and focus on taking out the newly summoned mobs quickly before they can gang up on you. |
| Summon Allies | The boss raises its horn and blows it horizontally while sitting in the boat, calling forth undead Skeletons from the ground to aid it in battle. | Interrupt this cast with a well-timed ranged attack or rush in to strike the Mariner if it's not already guarded. If the summon succeeds, switch focus to the Skeletons. They are weak individually but dangerous in groups. Area-of-effect spells or sweeping weapons are ideal for dealing with them quickly. |
| Rain of Spear | The Tibia Mariner summons a giant undead spirit in the sky, which launches several spectral spears upward before they come raining down across the entire battlefield. | Once you see the undead spirit summoned in the sky, immediately create distance and stay mobile. Watch the ground closely and anticipate where the spectral spears will land. Since the spears fall in scattered, unpredictable patterns across most of the battlefield, make sure to keep moving to avoid getting caught. |
| Giant Skeleton | The Tibia Mariner summons a giant undead skeleton that unleashes a beam-like projectile that targets a single player. | Once you see the giant undead skeleton rear its head, it’s a sign the beam attack is about to fire. If you’re the one being targeted, immediately start running in a single direction until the attack is finished to avoid getting hit. |

Anonymousno joke those 3 grim fuckin reaper with scythes that he spawns with are much bigger threat than him

Anonymousthere's no solo run I've done this guy was not the boss in day 1 (except for tricephalos)

AnonymousThe boat guy summon a big bird after you kill him , and if you kill that bird , you get nothing .very informative information, I know

Anonymousquite possibly the most annoying and worst night boss you can fight in this game. I hate Death Rite Birds already but the fact that this guy can summon one while you fight SKELETONS is so frustrating like omg I wanna shot myself

AnonymousQuite honestly the most boring boss fight I've had the displeasure of experiencing over and over again. Literally all Tibia does is do 2-3 attacks, and then constantly teleports away on repeat. You sprint to it on the other side of the arena, get two hits, and the fucker disappears with his kayak to the other side of the continent. Repeat it a gorillion times while also having to deal with his skeletons

AnonymousI legit would have preferred fighting 6 Skeleton Lords from DS2 over this.

Anonymousfromsoft heard y'all talking about how this guy was a joke in ER

AnonymousMost overtunes bullshit From has ever done. They never fucking learn. Also the lockon in this game sucks big baboon balls so good luck playing recluse.

AnonymousThis boss and the Wormface are probably the worst bosses I have ever seen in a video game. Kill skeletons first? You can't cause boatman keeps rezzing them. Kill boatman first, and he spawns a fucking DEATH RITE BIRD on top of you having to deal with a skeleton horde.
Wormface you're fighting a constant AoE deathblight aura along with infinitely spawning rats, crabs, dogs and slugs. Genuinely hope the devs in charge of boss design in this game never work on something ever again.
AnonymousIf you kill the skeletons first, he'll resurrect/summon them back to full health, essentially rendering your effort pointless. If you kill him first, he'll summon a Death *RITE* Bird (the Mt. Top of Giant version with wings) as a last f*ck you so now you gotta kill all the skeletons while dodging AoE from the DRB.
Which FromSoft intern thought this was a good idea??? He's the hardest Night 1 boss by far (especially for solo). I'd rather fight the Bell-bearing Hunter and the Crucible Knight + Hippo at the same time than this mf, at least the former can be parried.
Anonymousthis guy is the hardest night 1 boss solo and I hate that fact

Anonymouswhy do they make you kill every single skeleton in the arena
