Madness is a Status Effect in Nightreign. Status Effects are ailments or buffs that can be applied to the player's character or the enemies and can either be beneficial or detrimental to the affected target. These effects can trigger a buildup meter when the effect is repeatedly applied, which could then cause the defeat on the affected target. There are Equipment and items that can aid in the resistance or cure Status Effects.
Nightreign Madness Status Effect General Information
- Madness is a status effect that can build up when the effect is repeatedly applied to the player or the enemy.
- Madness can be inflicted through various means such as Weapons, Skills, and Spells.
- Once the gauge is filled, the effect will be triggered, and the affected target will lose FP, which will reduce their resources for casting Spells, or using Skills. The affected target will also lose HP.

AnonymousSo now that Deathblight works on enemies and bosses (insta-kill for weaker enemies/debuff for stronger ones), does madness do anything? Been wanting to try it but RNG hasn't given me any to try it yet

Does this show up on weapons now like other buffs? I know sleep can now show up on weapons, was hoping madness could too.
