Effect Inflicts rot quickly over a long period

Scarlet Rot is a Status Effect in Nightreign. Status Effects are ailments or buffs that can be applied to the player's character or the enemies and can either be beneficial or detrimental to the affected target. These effects can trigger a buildup meter when the effect is repeatedly applied, which could then cause the defeat on the affected target. There are Equipment and items that can aid in the resistance or cure Status Effects.

 

Nightreign Scarlet Rot Status Effect General Information

  • Scarlet Rot is a status effect that deals damage over time based on the player's or the enemy's health.
  • Rot deals  6% max HP+ 600 flat damage
  • Scarlet Rot deals damage in a faster rate compared to Poison.
  • Players can consume items that will slow down the buildup of Rot.
  • You can find numerous equipment or upgrades with Scarlet Rot effects by exploring the Shifting Earth: Rotted Woods. This is map modifier that will change the southeastern region and randomly appear as you complete expeditions by defeating Night Lords.
  • You can find Favor of the Forest by interacting with the map inside the Fort in the center of the Rotted Woods. The Favor of the Forest is a buff that grants immunity to Scarlet Rot and increases max HP. You can also partially recover HP after receiving damage with this buff.
