Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign are the primary source of damage against enemies, Night Bosses, and Nightlords. Players can discover melee weapons, ranged weapons, Staves, and Sacred Seals throughout each Expedition, with every run offering randomized equipment, passive effects, and Weapon Skills that encourage players to play different builds and playstyles.
Weapons are obtained from chests, defeated Field Bosses, merchants, and other rewards encountered during Expeditions. Unlike Elden Ring, most weapons are randomly generated each run, making every Expedition an opportunity to acquire new equipment with unique combinations of passive effects and Weapon Skills.
Weapons are divided into four rarities: Common (white), Uncommon (blue), Rare (purple), and Legendary (gold). Higher-rarity weapons provide stronger attributes and require higher character levels to wield effectively. Using a weapon before meeting its level requirement reduces its damage, though previously unlocked weapons remain usable even if your level later decreases.
Most weapons found during an Expedition roll with a random passive effect and a compatible Weapon Skill, while unique weapons always retain their signature skill. Legendary Weapons additionally feature a fixed unique passive alongside a randomized passive effect. Staves and Sacred Seals include one fixed spell and one randomly assigned Sorcery or Incantation.
Unlike in Elden Ring, Weapons in Nightreign have no stat requirements, allowing every Nightfarer to equip any weapon type. Some Weapon Skills have also been reworked, giving familiar weapons new roles during Expeditions. This page lists every weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign, including their stats, rarity, passive effects, Weapon Skills, and how to obtain them.

Patch 1.02.2 Weapon Changes
Certain changes were introduced to determined weapon types in Patch 1.02.2.
- Increased the stagger damage with dual-wielded jump attacks for some small and medium weapons..
- Decreased the stagger damage with dual-wielded jump attacks for some large weapons.
- Increased the potency of the death status ailment applied by the weapon skill Death Flare of Eclipse Shotel.
- Set a cap on the cumulative effects of the Power of Vengeance and Power of House Marais passive effects and adjusted their potency accordingly.
- Adjusted the stagger effect of the "Guard counters trigger holy bursts" passive’s explosion to ensure that it doesn’t reset the enemy's posture break state.
Deep of Night Weapon Changes Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.02
During a Deep of Night expedition, players have a chance to obtain exclusive weapons and equipment from mutants (Red variants ), with these weapons featuring new, powerful effects balanced by notable drawbacks. These drawbacks require players to adapt their strategies and adjust their builds over the course of a Deep of Night expedition. These weapons retain possible weapon skills that they may have in their purple variant. For example, the Jar Cannon may appear as Red or Purple tier, with both featuring the Kick Weapon Skill.
Players need to be careful equipping these Red variants because while they may offer great buffs, their debuff or "Curse" can put players at a disadvantage. These curses can range from Reduced Stats affecting HP, FP, and Stamina. There are also other curses that can impair attacks, making them miss occasionally, or get lower damage negation when you evade repeatedly.
You can find the list of possible Curses by going to this page: Deep Weapon Effects. Deep Weapon Effects are exclusive to the Deep of Night, and will only appear in a Deep of Night expedition. Take note that this page is a work in progress and that we're updating info as it becomes available.

AnonymousOne of the things that killed the longevity of this game for me was the lack of build-making. I clocked 1000 hours in ER just because of this. The way I went about it was selecting a weapon I wanted to try, pair that with a good AoW, and then planning my route and stats around that weapon.
I can't do that here, and I understand that's part of the RNG, but I'd argue it's badly implemented. Nightreign is stuck between a Soulslike and a Roguelike without commiting to either.
Weapons should still be randomized, but we should be able to select a WEAPON CLASS to start with, I really like using fists with Wylder and Raider, but getting a decent drop on a run is next to impossible, let us start with the Caestus and have an increased % of finding upgrades based on that starting weapon class.
Additionally, AoW's should be a drop on their own, that you can swap at a vendor or church. The game should have more crafting/building stuff to compensate for the limited seeds and randomization.
AnonymousEvery weapon has 100 physical negation, so you can legit just run around holding block. I usually guard after a dodge because I'm scared of getting frame checked

AnonymousIf Euporia won't have S faith scaling, I will consider it to be another Revenant nerf

AnonymousLove all the people complaining about there being no legendary bows with the eventual DLC on the horizon. Brother, Ansbachs bow and the Bone bow might be purple drops, but they will be beyond legendary.

AnonymousCrossbows need some serious love/niche uses beyond the pulley crossbow. Like, i'd love to see an ironeye setup that encourages 1handed melee with an offhand crossbow, or even a nightfarer that's built around it.

Anonymousits funny that legendaries are the rarest weapons to drop but it's even rarer that I see other player or myself upgrade and use white weapons. Yeah, people will upgrade their starting weapon and sometimes there's a staff/seal or vendor weapon that is white that can be upgraded, but other than that I never see people using the Lucerne, Zweihander or GUGS.

AnonymousWhy does Rosus' Axe scale mainly with dex? Every other axe scales with str, even Icerind, Rosus' is not even a dex weapon in ER, did they just mix up the scaling and never notice?

AnonymousWhat can we expect if SotE dlc update to Nightreign
we know that Legendary weapons in Nightreign are weapon from boss remembrance and from trophy Legendary Armaments.
so
Rellana twin blade for light great sword
Putrescene clever for great axe
Gaius sword lance for heavy rapier
Sunflower for colossal weapon
Messmer spear for great lance
Bud polebalde for Halberd (finally legend halberd for birb)
Finger staff for staff , not sure how this work because this staff can cast incantation in base game
Midra greatsword for greatsword
and 2 PCR ugs
no legendary for dagger , katana , shield , and bow
Anonymoustbh I kinda feel like some of the buffs they gave the legendary weapons should be brought over to base ER imo. Especially the ones that are Remembrance weapons in base ER and just feel kinda eh for the most part

AnonymousMarais and Grafted should be Red rarity because they already overpowered others Gold rarity.
you know you already win if you get it on day1.
AnonymousYou know what? I'm going on a leg and saying that I actually kind of like that they made every weapon class scale with either Str or Dex (except for swords which fittingly scale equally off of both) and hope they try something similar in a future regular souls game, it would make Str and Dex builds feel more distinct and gives quality builds an actual purpose (the build that's all about versatility actually being more versatile than builds which focus on a single stat? whaaat?), I always found it a bit strange that both builds have access to nearly every weapon type in the game. Similarly, even as a mage main myself I do like the lack of heavily Int scaling weapons, mages doing almost as much melee damage as full melee characters just with a different damage type always struck me as kind of unfair

AnonymousFun fact the bloodhound's fang, the serpent hunter, and varre's boquet are the only 3 weapons with a unique skill that are still blue rarity. All other weapons that feature a unique skill are purple rarity or higher

Anonymous
AnonymousWhen are we gonna get purchasable gray-rarity weapons as starting equipment?

Anonymouscrazy that half the nightfarer cast don't get a legendary in their main weapon drop pool. Even more if you consider no legendary seals for revenant AND recluse, and guardian having no legendary shields. But, you know, there needed to be 5 legendary greatswords and 4 across greataxes, greathammers and colossals (also 4 colossal swords but they aren't for any one class, though i'm sure you can guess who's likely to get them :D)

Anonymous
Anonymouslowk need more faith based weapons with higher scaling the a C-B rank
apart from seals the coded sword is an S in faith but you hardly ever find it
AnonymousIf your stating weapon has a good ash of war like hoarfrost stomp or prayful strike and you don't want to replace it immediatly, make sure to always stop by a merchant to buy stone 1 to upgrade your weapon as soon as possible. the damage gap of a +0 a +1 weapon is actually pretty huge

AnonymousJust like in any souls game, if you had used longsword, claymore, or zwei you didn’t beat the game.

AnonymousWould love to see Friede's Great Scythe as a legendary at some point..

AnonymousWhy are torches even in this game other than to troll people filling up reward slots

AnonymousHighest AR I've ever gotten was 629 on axe of godfrey as raider

Anonymous65 hours played and I have yet to see a legendary melee weapon that actually fits the characters I play as. At least I can drop them for allies.

Anonymous
AnonymousAny chance the weapon damage tables are going to get some numbers at some point???

AnonymousUnless someone's pranking us, why tf does every staff need to have glintstone arc?

Anonymous
AnonymousWhy tf we have golden hippi from dlc but the wepons??? Bigger update coming Or maby dlc has the dlc stuff?

AnonymousThey should have various parts of weapons hidden around the map or given as rewards and you can choose to save that part until a full weapon is built ad well as adding bleed or other effects etc. then be able to use that as your base/starting weapon. Kinda like in Lies of P. That or various pieces of armor as well to customize your own character a bit.

AnonymousNgl, I hate how they added in the bosses from the old games, but not the weapons, like wheres my darkfray katana from ds3

AnonymousFunny, how movesets are the same as pre-patch Elden Ring, that means many weapon classes are much slower than they are in the current version of Elden Ring

AnonymousFun fact you can buff ANY weapon with grease or spells (such as hand of malenia with bloodflame blade, moonveil with magic grease) no matter the weapon rarity or type. So if you find grease you should use it from the ground for a quick buff (or pick it up for later) for a quick boost!

i love the weapon catalogue because 90% of elden ring players wouldnt have used over half the weapons here, but this game encourages you to use so many of the weapons and figure out how to implement them into your characters playstyle

Anonymous
AnonymousPretty big selection of weapons, hoping they add some from Shadow of the Ertree DLC (also why not add some weapons from other games, if bosses are fine weapons should be too)

Anonymousdoes anyone know where i can find the drop rates of weapon and items and spawn rates of bosses and ennemies pls

AnonymousI know this sounds stupid but I think we can agree on the fact that they didn't add DLC weapons into the "base game" of nightreign to add them in a future update (or most likely another DLC). And this does make sense and imo is justified, since people had to pay for the DLC weapons in elden ring. Then why should the players that didn't buy the DLC get these weapons for free now? Same goes for DS weapons. Maybe it's just copium idk

AnonymousToo many Glinstone Pebble / Glinstone Arc combos for staves -- they're both consider "magic" element, which limits which spells the Recluse can concoct. They need to diversify or ransomise the elemental traits of weapons, if not provide an option of a starting weapon of the player's choice. Currently, the game isn't RNG enough in crucial areas needed to make the experience not feel repetitive (enemy spawns, bosses, "Shifting Earth" biomes; yet, too RNG in terms of weapons drops which the respective classes do not need.

Anonymousdoes anyone know the infused scalings? through datamining or something.

AnonymousWhy aren't there Dark Souls weapons? It would definitely add to replay ability, being able to use Artorias' Greatsword or spells like Chaos Bed Vestiges. That would be cool.

AnonymousNo legendary daggers is quite funny given the Duchess protagonism.

AnonymousThey should added Friede's Great Scythe in the weapon pool when you unlock Revenant since she had the Sister in the Painting skin. Would be cool to see it again.

AnonymousI just hope they add more weapons in the future. Specifically DLC and Dark Souls weapons

Anonymousso, no DLC weapons? hope they add milady and other light greatswords.

AnonymousDoes anyone know if non-default affinities affect scaling the same way as Elden Ring? It could affect loot exchange a lot.

AnonymousI swear I picked up what felt a lot like a Milady called Carian something yesterday with Carian Greatsword on it. It wasn't the Carian Straight Sword, it was a long, two-handed sword.

AnonymousI really hope they add shadow of the erdtree weapons in future updates or dlcs

Anonymous
AnonymousThey could have at the very least cut down the number of useless and repeated weapons, like, look me in the eyes and tell me in what situation is Steel-Wire Torch going to be even remotely useful.

AnonymousThere are, essentially, no more Light Bows: all Light Bows behave the same as regular bows now (eg can't do a quick shot while landing from a jump)... Which sucks.

Anonymous
AnonymousI was expecting some dark souls weapons considering they put in some of the bosses.

AnonymousThe majority of this list is just copypasted from base ER, wow.
