Omen is a Boss in Nightreign. Bosses are challenging foes that players will face at the end of each day. They have unique move sets, weaknesses, resistances, skills, and abilities. Players have to coordinate attacks to take them down and progress forward.

Omen Fight Strategy
Melee Users
The Omen is covered in writhing tendrils and capable of both magical and physical attacks. While it looks unsettling, its moves are slow and easy to read, giving players plenty of opportunities to counter.
One of its main ranged attacks is Gold Breath, where the Omen charges up and releases a burst of golden energy that scatters into multiple homing orbs. As soon as you see the charge animation begin, back away or run to the side to avoid the incoming projectiles. Once the attack finishes, the Omen stays still for a brief moment, allowing you to close the distance and land a clean melee strike before it resets.
The Sword Thrust is a slow, deliberate attack where the Omen stabs forward with its sword. The wind-up gives you plenty of time to dodge to either side, and once you’re behind or beside it, you can safely counter with one or two melee hits while it recovers.
At close range, the Omen can use a quick Uppercut, punching you upward with surprising speed. This move comes out faster than most of its other attacks, so it’s best to stay alert when in front of it. If you dodge backward or to the side just as the punch comes out, you can punish the missed hit with a fast counter before it follows up.
The Downward Punch is more telegraphed. The Omen raises its arm high and slams its fist down toward the ground. This attack has a longer wind-up and leaves it briefly vulnerable afterward. Rolling away from the impact and then quickly stepping in lets you deal a safe melee blow while it’s still recovering from the motion.
One of its more dangerous attacks is the Triple Slash. The Omen swings its sword twice, once from each side, and then finishes with a heavy downward slash using both hands. This combo can be deadly if you try to block it all, so instead, roll through each swing with careful timing. After the final downward slash lands, the Omen pauses for a moment, making this a perfect time to rush in and retaliate with a flurry of strikes.
Lastly, the Omen can sometimes use a simple Kick at close range. Though it does not deal heavy damage, it can interrupt your attacks. Try to avoid standing directly in front of it for too long without dodging. If you bait out the kick and dodge it, you will usually have enough time to strike back before it begins another move.
