Nioh 3 One-eyed Oni Boss Guide

One-eyed Oni Fight Strategy

The One-eyed Oni is a gigantic beast whose eyes are at its center and is believed to be the counterpart of the two-eyed Oni, who is known to have once been human. The One-eyed Oni is also known for being the wild, bestial side of mountain gods and local spirits personified.

The One-eyed Oni is a type of Yokai who uses different sets of abilities and skills when fighting his enemies. One of the attacks that the One-eyed Oni utilizes is the three-punch combo attack. The One-eyed Oni will try to punch you with his crystal-coated fists up to three times. You can always block this attack by utilizing your guard ability and avoiding taking damage.

Aside from the three-punch combo attack, the One-eyed Oni can also perform a two-punch combo attack, wherein he will do the same thing: punch you with his crystal-coated hands. Block this attack to avoid taking damage.

One of the most powerful attacks of the One-eyed Oni is his Burst Attack. You will notice that the One-eyed Oni will be surrounded by a red aura, an indication that he is about to use his Burst Attack. You can cancel this attack if you successfully timed your Burst Break ability.

During your battle with the One-eyed Oni, make sure to maximize the use of your Living Artifact and Soul Core abilities for maximum damage output.

One-eyed Oni Attacks & Counters

Three-punch Combo Attack

The Three-Punch Combo Attack is one of the One-eyed Oni's most powerful attacks. He will come to your position and will try to punch you for three times using his crystal-coated fists. You can always block this attack as long as you utilize your guarding ability.

Two-punch Combo Attack

The Two-Punch Combo Attack is another form of melee attack that the One-eyed Oni utilizes. It is basically the same attack, just like with the Three-punch combo attack, wherein the One-eyed Oni will come to your position trying to punch you with his crystal-coated fists. This attack is also blockable, as long as you utilize your guarding ability.

Burst Attack

The Burst Attack is One-eyed Oni's most powerful attack. When he is about to perform this attack, he will be surrounded by a red aura.
