Soul Cores are special items that grant Onmyo Magic in Nioh 3. Soul Cores hold remnants of a yokai's power and can be set in either Yin or Yang position to unlock its Onmyo Magic. Soul Cores set in the Yin position provide Onmyo Magic Items, like Talismans, which increase the player's Stats. On the other hand, Soul Cores set in the Yang position unlock a Summoning Seal, which calls on the power of the yokai within to fight alongside the player briefly. Soul Cores are obtained upon defeating a yokai, which can be purified and equipped at Shrines. The special effects gained from Soul Cores depend on the position in which it is equipped in the Onmyo Box. Your Soul Cores can be managed at a Shrine, and their effects can be replenished upon praying at a Shrine. Click here to see all Soul Cores.
