Clans are the different factions or groups in Nioh 3 that players can join to gain benefits through Clan Protection, which grants passive bonuses such as increased attack power, defense, and magic power. The feature allows players to choose a side among warring clans, encouraging allegiance and progression. Clans become available upon unlocking the Hidden Teahouse in the Eternal Rift by advancing the main story.

What are Clans in Nioh 3?

Clans in Nioh 3 are groups that participate in Clan Battles for a chance to earn Glory. This feature becomes available after unlocking the Hidden Teahouse in the Eternal Rift.

  • Joining a clan allows you to receive each clan's Clan Protection. Acquiring Glory while allied to a clan will increase your position within that clan and enhance the Clan Protection.
  • After joining a clan, you will be unable to transfer allegiance to another clan for 8 hours.
  • The clan you are allied to and its Clan Protection are not particular to individual save data files, but are managed by your player account.

When engaged in a Clan Battle, each clan and its allied members are separated into Red and White camps that complete to see who earn the most Glory within the allotted time. Whichever camp ends with the most Glory will be declared victorious. The winning camp receives most of the Glory as a reward. Each clan battle's reward can only be obtained once per player account.

How to Unlock Hidden Teahouse

Hidden Teahouse becomes available by progressing the main story, specifically progressing The Battle of Saigagake. Upon the request of Ii Naotora, you will head north, which will prompt a time travel to the Heian Period, 1190 CE. Once completed, fast travel to the Eternal Rift and go to the southeastern house to find Matsunaga Hisahide sitting. Talk to him to learn about Clan Battles, Clans, and Glory.

Anyone knows if there is any penalty / decrease in a clan's bonus once you switch to another clan (i like my 15% damage from Ii, but i would love to give my ninja mode something good too) ?

            • Anonymous

They nerfed Toyotomi lmao, they have been an annoying faction in Nioh 2. You can clearly see who are the cheaters/hackers in the PC version because half of those in the Top 10 barely appear in the Torii Gate in Dream of the Nioh.

Todo gangs got hit with the massive nerf, nobody cares about Ninjutsu when using Todo. The whole clan's gimmick was Staminamaxxing and wearing the heaviest armors and tanking like a chad. Truly saddest day for all fellow Todo enjoyers.
