NPCs in Nioh 3 are the non-playable characters that the player can encounter while playing the game. NPCs are the inhabitants of the world, with each one playing a role that can affect the player's gameplay and progression. NPCs are often found in strategic locations, with some of them offering quests that will grant players a reward upon completing the objectives. The name “Hanzo” is a hereditary title passed down through generations of ninja leaders from Iga Province (present-day western Mie Prefecture), inherited from his father, Masanari.

Himiko

She became the ruler of Yamatai Kingdom, succeeding the war-driven male king.
Born with a natural talent for Kido, a form of sorcery, she is said to have guided her people.

Hiruko

Hiruko was a former king of Yamatai, and Himiko's younger brother.
Since his youth, Hiruko had always felt inferior to his sister, Himiko, who was skilled Onmyo mage, which led to him constantly flaunting his own strength. After becoming king, he tried using the Great Spirit Stone, Yamatai's source of prosperity, to wage war on other countries.

Ii Naotora
