What Are Accessories in Nioh 3?
Nioh 3 Accessories are additional equipment pieces that provide passive bonuses to attack, defense, drop rates, and various other stats. Unlike Armor Pieces that focus on physical protection and have significant weight, Nioh 3 Accessories are lightweight itemsdesigned purely to enhance your character's capabilities through Special Effects. Players can equip up to two accessories simultaneously, allowing for strategic combinations that define and enhance specific build archetypes.

Nioh 3 Accessory Rarities and Special Effects
In Nioh 3, every Accessory that shares the same name in Nioh 3 always includes one Fixed Special Effect, along with a number of Random Special Effects that vary depending on its rarity. Fixed Special Effects are easy to recognize, as they are marked by the
Fixed Special Effect icon displayed before the effect’s name. As the rarity of an Accessory increases, its Base Defense range also increases, and the number of Random Special Effects it can roll changes accordingly:
- Common rarity will grant one random Special Effects
- Uncommon rarity will grant two random Special Effects
- Rare rarity will grant two random Special Effects
- Exotic rarity can grant up to three random Special Effects
Accessories and Divine Graces in Nioh 3
Divine Graces are powerful set-style passive bonuses that appear on Divine-rarity Weapons and Armor after defeating the final boss. These bonuses work similarly to Armor Sets, but instead of requiring specific set pieces, they activate when you equip multiple items that share the same Divine Grace. This system allows much more flexibility than traditional sets. You can mix different Weapons, Armor pieces, and gear types while still building toward the same Grace bonus. As you equip more pieces with the same Grace, stronger passive effects unlock, significantly changing your combat performance and playstyle.

Many accessories also carry a Grace affiliation This means they count as a piece toward activating Grace bonuses. Because of this, Nioh 3 Accessories become critical build components. Without the right accessory, you may not reach the required piece count to unlock the strongest Grace effects
