Ki Pulse
Performing a Ki Pulse after an attack will recover a portion of the Ki used.
Ki Pulse: After performing a Samurai Attack, press R1 Button as blue lights gather around you.
Performing a Ki Pulse just as teh lights coalesce will greatly increase the amount of Ki recovered.
Arts Proficiency
Samurai Style's Arts Gauge can be charged by attacking and guarding against enemy attacks. When the gauge is full, using Strong Attack or Martial Art will activate Arts Proficiency.
While Arts Proficiency is active, Strong Attacks and Martial Arts will be enchanted.
- The attack unleashed upon activation does not consume Ki
- Damage dealt to enemies is increased and Ki consumption is decreased.
- Different Martial arts can be used consecutively
Martial Arts can be viewed via Customize Martial Arts/Ninjutsu in the Main Menu
Ninja Style Features
Ninja Style is characterized by swift movements and low Ki expenditure. Further, when attacking enemies from behind, it deals more damage than Samurai Style.
Mist: Press R1 Button after attacking
Using Mist after an attack will cause you to quickly turn your body, evading the enemy without consuming Ki. Additionally, using this ability near enemies will create a shadow of yourself that temporarily attracts enemy attention.
However, unlike Ki Pulses, Mist cannot recover Ki or perform Purification.
Style Shift
Use Style Shift to switch 
Styles and alter your approach to battle.
Style Shift: R2 Button
Samurai Style focuses on direct melee combat and aims to dish out greater damage through Arts Proficiency.
Ninja Style focuses on agility combined with hit-and-run tactics that utilize Ninjutsu to attack enemies from a distance.
Living Artifact
The Guardian Spirit icon on the left of your Life Gauge Serves as an Amrita Gauge and increases each time you gain Amrita.
Living Artifact: Press Triangle Button + Circle Button when the Amrita Gauge is full to draw upon the power of Kusanagi and take on the form of Guardian Spirit.
While active, Living Artifact stops enemy attacks from killing you and enables you to use attacks imbued with your Guardian Spirit's element. The gauge is depleted by time and enemy attacks, and once it reaches 0, the transformation is undone.
Assassinate
Deal massive damage to unaware enemies by approaching from behind and pressing △.
Crouch: L3 Button
Crouching will silence your movements and make it harder for enemies to notice you.
Enemy Ki and Grappling
When you deplete an enemy's Ki to 0, you can deal significant damage with Grapple.
Grapple: Press Triangle Button near an enemy that's out of Ki.
Humans restore Ki over time, while yokai do not unless they are in the Yokai Realm or under other special circumstances. Additionally, strong yokai cannot be Grappled unless their maximum Ki is fully depleted. Yokai's maximum Ki is greatly reduced by destroying glowing golden weak points.
Death
The 
Amrita that is required to level up will be lost when you die. But if you die while accompanied by a Guardian Spirt, you will leave behind a grave, from a which you can retrieve the Amrita you have lost by touching it.
Be aware that if you die again while you still have a grave left behind, that grave will disappear.
Reset Martial Arts / Ninjutsu
You can reset all learned Martial Arts and Ninjutsu to reacquire your points. Points can be reused after they have been reacquired.
Resetting all Samurai or Ninja Style categories will return all Samurai and Ninja Points allocated to each respective style. Resetting only the currently displayed categories will return only the points allotted to those categories.
Leveling Up
You can level up by going the Level Up option on the Shrine menu and using Amrita to raise your Core Stats. Before leveling up, you can view which stats and which weapons' Attack will be affected.
Levels can be reset any number of times.

Kodama Blessings
Kodama Merit can be spent at the Kodama Blessing menu to acquire different elixir effects. Spent Merit can be redistributed any number of times.

Skill Management
Acquired skills can be activated via the Skill Management option in the Shrine menu, as long as their cost is within your skill capacity.
There are three types of skills: Samurai, Ninja, and Common. Each type of skill's capacity can be increased by finding the relevant Text or Memorandum.
Texts and Memorandums can be acquired by trading with the 
Merchant or as <Exploration Icon> Exploration Level rewards.
Skills can be reviewed via the Status option in the Main Menu.
Soul Cores
Soul Cores can be set in the Onmyo Box at 
Shrines to ready Onmyo Magic Items.
Soul Cores are rare items that can be obtained by defeating yokai.
Battle Scrolls
Battle Scrolls allows you to replay completed missions or undertale Battle Scroll-exclusive missions.
After the mission begins, you can leave the mission via System in the Main Menu, or by selecting Return in the Shrine menu.
Become a Visitor
You can offer help to other players online as a visitor. While a visitor, you cannot open doors or chests. Once the mission objective has been achieved, Co-op mode will end, and you will return to hte shrine from which you departed.
Visitors can obtain equipment based on their own strength rather than the level of the mission they joined. You can also obtain a large amount of Glory and Ochoko Cups.
1. Expeditions in Mission Mode
In Mission Mode Expeditions, you can team up with companions to replay completed missions as well as take on unlocked sub missions.
In this mode, only players who pray at a Shrine will have their Life restored. Be warned, Life can only be restored once per shrine. Unlike in Story Mode, companions will not be transported when the host pray at a shrine, and enemies will not respawn.
Guests can wrap to the host's position via the Online Menu.
3. Assist and Revive
When a player dies, a grave will appear.
Other players can revive them by approaching the grave and pressing R1 Button. A successful assist will restore the Assist Gauge.
A defeated player can also revive on their own by holding Circle Button if the Assist Gauge is not empty.
Shrines
Praying at shrines will recover your life and replenish Elixirs. However, defeated enemies will respawn. You will return to the last Shrine you visited when you die. You will return to the last shrines you visited when you die.
Exploration Benefits
Exploring the world will help you in your battles in various ways.
By interacting with friendly yokai, you can increase the number of elixirs you can carry or learn Martial Arts.
There are often 
chests in places guarded by powerful foes or hordes of enemies. Opening chests can grant you rare items or powerful equipment.
Compass Functions
The Compass displays not only your objectives but other helpful information as well, such as the locations of shrines and graves.
Additionally, during combat, the compass' exterior will glow red. In special circumstances, the entire compass may glow as well.
Kodama
Each time you show a lost Kodama the way home, the number of elixirs replenished at Shrines will be increased.
By earning the trust of the Kodama, you will gain Kodama Merit, which you can be used to receive Kodama Blessings. You can select blessings at Shrines.
Six Jizo
Praying at the Six Jizo will earn you 
Jizo Merit. Jizo Blessings can be earned depending on your Jizo Merit and are available for selection at shrines.
Enemy Base
The term 
enemy base is used to refer to any collection of enemies holding a point.
enemy base are conquered by defeating all enemies, and conquering one will increase your Exploration Level. Additionally, conquering certain bases enables you to open chests or access Shrines guarded by Kodama.
The Dark Realm
The Dark Realm lends strength to all yokai within. Though yokai are empowered by it, it also increases your own Spirit Force gain and Guardian Spirit Skill power. Destroying the object or enemy the Dark Realm originates from will dispel it.
Life Corrosion
Taking damage from enemies in the Crucible or 
Lesser Crucibles will reduce your maximum Life. Defeating enemies, dealing damage, and recovering your grave after reviving will restore part of your lost maximum Life.
By praying to the <Six Jizo> Six Jizo in each region and obtaining Jizo Blessings from shrines or Bodhisattva Statues, you can also reduce Life Corrosion.
Merchants
Goods can be bought and sold by speaking to Merchants, 
Yokai Teardrops can also be exchanged for unique goods.
Yokai Teardrops can be obtained by defeating formidable enemies, completing Battle Scroll missions, or bathing in hot springs in each region.
Spirit Veins
Spirit Veins can be identified by the glowing motes of light that flutter around them, and they require the powers of certain Guardian Spirits to traverse.

Forging allows you to use materials and gold to create new equipment.
Complete missions and acquire smithing texts to increase the kinds of equipment that can be forged.
The rarity of items that you can forge will increase as you progress through the game.
Disassemble
Disassembling allows you to break equipment down to gain forging materials
The materials acquired from disassembly vary depending on the type and rarity of equipment.
Yokai Realm and Purifications
The Yokai Realm is a peculiar realm wherein enemy yokai are born. Human Ki recovery speed greatly reduced here.
While in a Yokai Realm, successfully executing a Ki Pulse while in Samurai Style will cleanse and dispel that Yokai Realm
Samurai Style Features
Samurai Style enhances your attack power and guard proficiency, which is ideal for battling enemies head-to-head.
Ki Pulse: R1 after attacking
Use a Ki Pulse to recover Ki consumed after an attack, which will allow you to continue attacking.
Ninjutsu
Ninja Style allows you to use Ninjutsu. Use Ninjutsu for a variety of effects and actions, such as long-range attacks unique movements.
Ninjutsu: R1 + △ / ☐ / ✖
Attacking enemies will fill each Ninjutsu's Garage and recover its uses.
Style Shift and Burst Break
Enemies will sometimes be surrounded a red aura, indicating an impending Burst Attack. Burst Attacks can be repelled with Burst Breaks.

Landing Guardian Spirit Skills is a good way to deplete a yokai's maximum Ki.

Deal massive damage to unaware enemies by approaching from above and pressing △
Strong Yokai Max Ki
Strong yokai are less likely to stagger when attacked, but when their Ki reaches zero, they are guaranteed to stagger, creating an oppurtunity to attack.
By continuing to attack and reducing their maximum Ki, you will be able to perform a Grapple and deal significant damage.
Burst Break and Guardian Spirit Skills are particularly effective in reducing maximum Ki.
Death: Soul Cores
When you die, you will lose all <purified icon> unpurified Soul Core along with your absorbed Amrita. However, if you die while accompanied by a Guardian Spirit, the Soul Cores can be retrieved along with your Amrita by touching your grave.
When you die, you will not lose Soul Cores that have already been 
at a Shrine.
Equipment
Equipped Gear and items assigned to shortcuts can be selected via the Equipment option on the Main Menu. Multiple shortcuts can be set, and you cna alternate between sets with R1 + ← / R1 + →
Press R3 to automatically select equipment. Change Style in Equipment Menu: R2
Customize Martial Arts/Ninjutsu
Select Customize Martial Arts/Ninjutsu from the Main Menu to view Martial Arts details and assign them for each style and weapon type. Ninjutsu can be set via Ninja's Style Basic Controls.
Change Guardian Spirit
The Guardian Spirit accompanying you can be changed.
Your choice of Guardian Spirit will enhance certain player starts and determine which Guardian Spirit Skills cna be used.
Jizo Blessings
Jizo Merit can be spent at the Jizo Blessing menu to acquire different buffs for use while battling in the Crucible. Spent Merit can be redistributed any number of times.
Jizo Merit can be acquired by praying at the Six Jizo in each region.
Managing Soul Cores
The Manage Soul Cores option in the Shrine menu allows you to use and enhance Soul Cores, as well as prepare Onmyo Magic.
Onmyo Box
Setting a Soul Cores in the Onmyo Box will enable an Onmyo Magic item to be used. Onmyo Magic item uses can be restored by praying at a shrine. Damage dealt by Onmyo Magic items will increase based on their respective Soul Core's level.
Th Soul Cores you set in the Yang position will also offfer special effects and affect your stats.
Resting Rites
Perform Resting Rites to dispose of unwanted Soul Cores and earn 
Soul Fragments. You may also acquire yokai materials from offered Soul Cores every so often.
Call Acolyte
Offering an Ochoko Cup at a Benevolent Grave will summon forth an Acolyte to fight at your side.
Acolytes remain until the Battle Spoils gauge disappears or their Life drops to 0.
Defeating enemies will diminish the Battle Spoils gauge.
Ochoko Cups can be earned from Co-op mode, or by defeating Revenants summoned from Bloody Gravess.
2. Expedition Basics
During an Expedition, the Assist Gauge will be displayed onscreen. This gauge will decrease will every tiem a player dies, and the mission will end in failure if it is fully depleted. The gauge will be restored when the host prays at a shrine.
Going on continues Expeditions will grant a Kill Count Bonus to the rewarded amounts of Amrita and Glory.
4. Continuing after Failure
Continuing after a failed mission fully restores the Assist Gauge but resets the Kill Count Bonus.
Amrita collected by both the host and guests during an Expedition will not decrease or be lost, even upon the failure.
You will be taken out of the mission and returned to the Eternal Rift if you choose not to continue.

Scampuss
A Scampuss is a yokai in the form of a particularly corpulent cat. Something good might happen if you follow it. Apparently, Scampusses' movement and behavior patterns differ according to their coat coloring.
Chijiko
Chijiko are yokai that look like floating handballs. They love being used for target practice, and if you pet them after bringing one down, they will give you something precious as a sign of friendship. Listen to the sound of bells to find them.
Progress Menu Features
Mission and Myth progress and achievements can be viewed via the Progress option on the Main Menu. Prioritized Myth locations will be shown on the compass.
The Crucible
In the Crucible and Lesser Crucibles, yokai attacks will be more powerful. Additionally, attack by enemies will inflict Life Corrosion, which will temporarily decrease your maximum Life.
However, the Amrita Gauge will fill quickly here, and thus Living Artifact is easier to activate while in these locations. Additionally, yokai summoned by Summoning Seals will deal extra attack damage.
Crucible Weapons
Crucible weapons can be acquired in the Crucible. Crucible weapons deal significant damage to enemies, but taking damage from enemies while wielding them inflict Life Corrosion and temporarily reduce your maximum Life.
When equipped, Crucible Arts will be automatically assigned to their relevant command. By maximizing your familiarity with Crucible Weapons, eventually you will be able to learn Crucible Arts and freely assign them.
Destroying Crucible Spikes
Destroying a Crucible Spike will provide the following benefits:
- Your Spirit Force cap increases
- Your Guardian Spirit Skill's Attack increases, and their special effects activate relative to the number of destroyed Crucible Spikes
In the case of a Lesser Crucible, the following benefits may also activate:
- The amount of Amrita floating around the Lesser Crucible may increase

Gale Sprint
Gale Sprint allows you to borrow your Guardian Spirit's power to race across the land at an inhuman speed.
Gale Sprint: Continuously dash for a certain amount of time while not in combat
Titles
Fulfilling certain conditions will earn you titles and award you corresponding 
Prestige Points.
You can allot these points to acquire various bonuses under Titles in the Main Menu. Allotted Prestige Points can be reset any number of times.

Remodeling allows you to use materials and gold to change the abilities of equipment with a + value
