Eternal Rift in Nioh 3 is the central hub where the player can interact with characters from different time periods. The path to the Eternal Rift was revealed by Kusanagi's powers while the protagonist was fleeing Edo Castle, but access to the hub will become easier once the player obtains the Guiding Mirror through story progression. Prominent figures, including fictional characters, will flock to the hub to offer assistance through Master Missions, Training, Forging Tools and Equipment, and other services.
Eternal Rift Information in Nioh 3
The Eternal Rift serves as a central hub where the player can talk to NPCs that they've come across. The Eternal Rift is accessible through a fast travel method that they will acquire by progressing the story, specifically after obtaining the Guiding Mirror from Ii Naotora. Nioh 3 Eternal Rift Guide
Quests from NPCs in the Eternal Rift
Once you unlock the Eternal Rift, you can talk to NPCs such as Saito Fuku, Fox-masked Blacksmith, Hattori Hanzo, and others to receive quests. These are optional quests that introduce stories that highlight the NPC's role in the player's progression and their personal stories. Some NPCs like Matsunaga Hisahide will only join after the player makes a significant progress in the story. Guardian Spirits can also appear here, like Kusanagi and Nekomata.
- The Eternal Rift becomes accessible to the player by progressing The Hamamatsu Incident, after cleansing the Crucible in Hamamatsu. The player will receive the Guiding Mirror from Saito Fuku, prompting a cutscene that will transport the player to the Eternal Rift.
Fast Travel Functions in the Eternal Rift
While in the Eternal Rift, the player can travel across timelines from the Warring States to the Bakumatsu period. To do this, they can go to the Map Screen, then go to the nearest Shrine in the area that they want to travel to. The Map Screen will show the locations in various periods, which can be switched by pressing [L1] or [R1].
Alternatively, players can also fast travel to the Eternal Rift at any point in the game. To do this, open the Map Screen, then press the (L3) button.
Special NPCs in the Eternal Rift in Nioh 3
Some special NPCs like the Scampuss is also present in the Eternal Rift. Contrary to its behavior in the open world, the Scampuss in the Eternal Rift will allow itself to be interacted with, without running away. This Scampuss also accepts Scampuss Furball in exchange for item rewards.
Aside from the Giant Scampuss, players can also talk to Matsunaga Hisahide to learn about Clan Battles, Clans, and Glory. This is accessible after progressing The Battle of Saigagake. Upon the request of Ii Naotora, you will head north, which will prompt a time travel to the Heian Period, 1190 CE. Once completed, fast travel to the Eternal Rift and go to the southeastern house to find him at the hub. Aside from unlocking the Hidden Teahouse, you can now also receive quests from Matsunaga Hisahide.
Eternal Rift Battle Scrolls in Nioh 3
Battle Scrolls is a mechanic that allows players to replay completed missions or undertake Battle Scroll-exclusive missions, represented by the 
icon. This system can be accessed through Shrines, including the one inside the Eternal Rift. Select the Battle Scroll in the menu that appears to view the list of all repeatable missions.

- Speaking to Saito Fuku in the Eternal Rift for the first time will unlock the Equipment Loadouts function, which lets the player save and load Equipment, Martial Arts, and Skill Sets.
- You will learn the acquired smithing recipes by talking to the Fox-masked Blacksmith. The identity of the Blacksmith will be revealed after completing Memories in the Blade. Aside from the rewards that you'll receive, you'll also unlock the Reforge feature, which modifies the special effects of equipment.
- There are 2 treasure chests in a closed cell above the Blacksmith that you can open to get Equipment.
- You can traverse the Spirit Vein in the Eternal Rift once you have unlocked Oh, the Guardian Spirit. This path will lead to an area above the north building where you can loot corpses in the surrounding area. This will also unlock paths across the mossy tree branches that are connected throughout Eternal Rift.
Anonymousthere is a rock under where you change appearance. does anyone know what its about? is it a later thing or can i do something immediately?
So, there's like a ghost version of the father in the Eternal Rift. Only says "Takechiyo.." Anyone know if that's tied to a story mission?
-Also, since I couldn't reply to the other comment. That rock will probably unlock through stroy progression. My guess is it's tied to a guardian spirit you get later on to open new spirit veins.
