Tokaido is a Location in Nioh 3. This area of the game consists of small towns and bases that are infested with creatures and enemies. The majority of the area is made up of a lush forest in the center, a fishing village to the east, and a Hot Spring to the south. Locations provide information on all the places that you can explore. Players can now explore areas that are outside of Missions and freely travel from one area to another, without the need to travel back to the hub.

- West of Tokaido leads to a small settlement of Hamamatsu Post
- East of Tokaido leads to a small village by the Ikeda Ferry port, turned into a Yokai Enemy Base.
- South of Tokaido leads to a forest and a cave where you can find a Hot Spring and a Lesser Crucible.
- Near the Tokaido Shrine, you can interact with a spirit to pick up the Myth mission, Insatiable Hunger. [Nioh 3 Map]
- You can find a Scampuss near the Tokaido Shrine [Nioh 3 Map]. Following it rewards Samurai's Locks and Scampuss Furball.
- You can find a small chest inside a house on the right, where you encounter the Gaki Chief. [Nioh 3 Map]
- Mezuki, a field boss, can be found roaming by a shrine, southwest of the Ikeda Ferry Shrine [Nioh 3 Map]
- You can find a Scampuss near the Forest of Souls Shrine. Following it, you'll pass by a pool of water. Be careful not to fall into it, as it can cause you to die. [Nioh 3 Map]
- By the pool of water, you can find a Kodama and a small chest under a torii gate. The small chest contains items and a Ninja's Text. [Nioh 3 Map]
- Southeast of Tokaido, through the Forest of Souls, you'll find a cabin and a mini-boss, the Green Shadow's Blade [Nioh 3 Map]. Inside the cabin, there is a small chest that contains the Secret Skills Text: Roaring Dragon Deflect.
- Destroying the Lesser Crucible grants an increase to your Spirit Force, strengthens the Guardian Spirits, and you can collect a Large Spirit Stone. [Nioh 3 Map]
- Near the Cape Cavern Shrine, there is a spirit you can interact with to pick up the Myth Mission, Desecrated Hot Spring. [Nioh 3 Map]
- As you enter the cave next to the Cape Cavern Shrine, you can find a large chest before exiting on your right. The chest contains a Samurai's Text and other items.
- The Hot Spring is an Enemy Base that you must clear to complete the Myth Mission, Desecrated Hot Spring. Defeat 6 enemies to clear out the base. [Nioh 3 Map]
- Upon using the Hot Spring, you can acquire x2 Yokai Teardrop.
Ikeda Ferry Port Village (East of Tokaido)
- Ikeda Ferry Port Village is an Enemy Base. You must defeat a total of 7 yokai enemies to liberate the area.
- Behind the house on the left near the shore, you can find a large chest and a Kodama. You can only guide the Kodama back home and loot the chest after clearing the enemy base.
- You can find a small chest inside the house on the left near the shore of the Ikeda Ferry Port.
- At the center of the shore, there is a strong Dweller enemy that will spawn from the yokai mist.
- Easily Missed: In between the houses on the right, there is a stack of boxes and packages that you can crouch under to find a corpse that you can search as you investigate the village for the myth mission, Insatiable Hunger.
Corpses that you can loot can be found at the following locations:
- Once can be found on a hill near the main entrance leading to Hamamatsu Post, west of Tokaido Shrine. You won't miss it as you follow the Scampuss you pet near the Tokaido Shrine.
- Near the Ikeda Ferry Shrine, you can find 2 corpses by the torn-down carriage, where you'll encounter a group of Gaki enemies.
- Northwest by the cliff outside the small village of the Ikeda Ferry port, you'll find a corpse.
- By the shore of the Ikeda Ferry Port, check the bow of the wooden ferry to find a corpse.
- Behind the first house on the right at the Ikeda Ferry Port, you can find a corpse on a mound. There is also another corpse nearby.
- By the shore of the Ikeda Ferry Port, check behind the wreckage of a boat to find a corpse sitting against it.
- In between the houses on the right at the Ikeda Ferry port, there is a stack of boxes and packages that you can crouch under to find a corpse that you can search as you investigate the village for the myth mission, Insatiable Hunger.
- By the entrance of the village at Ikeda Ferry port, there is a coprse leaning against some stacked packages, just in front of the stable.
- A corpse can be found where you encounter the Gaki Chief. [Nioh 3 Map]
- Near the Forest of Souls shrine, there's a corpse leaning against a tree.
- In front of the main door of the shrine, where you encounter the Mezuki. The corpse holds a Samurai's Locks and other items. [Nioh 3 Map]
- A corpse can be found hanging by the edge of a rocky platform near the Tokaido Shrine.
- Further southwest, you'll find large crystals of Amrita. There are Gaki enemies around and corpses that you can loot. One of the corpses holds a Samurai's Locks.
- Near the cabin within the Forest of Souls, where you encounter the Green Shadow's Blade, there is a corpse sitting against a large tree. Also within the vicinity, you'll find the corpse of a soldier on a rock platform.
- Before the entrance of the lesser crucible, you can find a corpse on the right, where you encounter some Crucible Wasp enemies.
- Past the Lesser Crucible is a corpse that you can search for loot. The corpse holds a Secret Skills Text: Tachi Arts. [Nioh 3 Map]
- On a cliff edge, near the Cape Cavern Shrine, there is a corpse you can loot.
- As you exit through Cape Cavern, you can find a corpse inside a house that is guarded by a Shunobon. Be cautious, as there is a Gaki inside waiting for an ambush. Behind this house, you can also find another corpse to loot.
- There is a corpse by the entrance of the Hot Spring. The Hot Spring is located through Cape Cavern, south of Tokaido.
- Behind the fence of the Hot Spring, there are two corpses by the edge of the cliff. You can jump over the fence and tread carefully along the narrow space to reach both corpses on both sides.
