Lake Sanaru is a Location in Nioh 3. Lake Sanaru is located in the western area at Warring States. The location is surrounded by a body of water filled with creatures and enemies. At the end of Lake Sanaru, players will be able to travel to new areas such as Lake Hamana, Mikatagahara, and Hamamatsu. Locations provide information on all the places that you can explore. Players can now explore areas that are outside of Missions and freely travel from one area to another, without the need to travel back to the hub

The Nioh 3 Lake Sanaru Notes & Tips

• You can find the Lake Sanaru - Waterside Shrine, east of Lake Sanaru Docks. [Nioh 3 Map]
• Behind the Waterside Shrine will be a broken-down temple and a path that can take you back to Lake Sanaru Docks.
  • Leading to the docks, there will be a well you can use to summon a Kappa and Yokai Teardrop. 
  • Continue the path, and you'll see a Crucible Spike on the left side. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • Head inside the broken-down temple and drop down the hole. This will lead you to a Spirit Vein where you'll need the Guardian Spirit, Enko. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • A Six Jizo Statue can be found within the small cave located east of the Lake Sanaru - Waterside Shrine in Lake Sanaru. The donation box will turn into a Mujina. Defeat this yokai before you pray at the Six Jizo and obtain +50 Jizo Merit [Nioh 3 Map]
  • Next to the Six Jizo will be a hole in the wall that you can use to quickly return outside.
• Head north, and you'll reach a crossroad. On the western path, above a staircase, will be the Lake Sanaru North Shrine. [Nioh 3 Map]
• From the North Shrine, continuing west will lead you to a Spirit Vein. [Nioh 3 Map] Players are required to have the Guardian Spirit, Nekomata to traverse the Spirit Vein on the coast. Doing so will lead you to the Master: Sugitani Zenjubo which will grant you the Handbook: Urgency. [Nioh 3 Map]
• Navigating to the east will lead you to a corpse near a waterfall, where you can acquire the Secret Skills Text: Resolute Arts [Nioh 3 Map]
  • At the top by the waterfalls, there will be a large log you can use to aim at a Chijiko and unlock the Transformed Art "God of the Wind Wind", as well as acquire an x1 Samurai's Locks. [Nioh Map 3]  
  • Continuing further east will lead you to a swamp and the eastern shrine of Lake Sanaru.
  • At the top of a platform will be a Kappa where you can acquire Yokai Teardrop.
  • On the east side of the swamp will be a Spirit Vein. You'll need to use the Guardian Spirit, Enko, to traverse the Spirit Vein and acquire an x1 Samurai's Locks
• Heading further north from the Lake Sanaru North Shrine will lead you to a broken-down settlement.
  • Navigate to the right side of the path to find a Kodama hidden behind a cart at the settlement. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • Return and progress the left path until you reach the Gaki Chief. Next to it will be a corpse, where you can acquire the Secret Skills Text: Ninjutsu Cultivation. [Nioh 3 Map]
• Further north will be the Otsuri Bridge Shrine. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • From the shrine, players can aim and shoot at the Chijiko hovering below the bridge to unlock the Transformed Art: Dragonfly Reversal Pierce and obtain a Ninja's Locks. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • West from the shrine will be a Spirit Vein. Players will need the Guardian Spirit, Enko, to reach the next platform. Upon reaching the platform, there will be a large chest where you can acquire the Ninja's Locks [Nioh Map 3]
  • Continue heading west, and you'll be able to reach the next area, Lake Hamana. 
  • Heading north from the Otsuri Bridge will lead you to Mikatagahara.

West Area of Lake Sanaru

• Upon entering Lake Sanaru from Maisaka, you will encounter a Lesser Crucible that players will need to purify.
• A Scampuss can be found on the bridge leading to the western island of Lake Sanaru. [Nioh 3 Map]
• A Spirit Vein can be found near the top of the western island of Lake Sanaru. This Spirit Vein requires you to have the Guardian Spirit, Enko, to reach the top.
  • A Kodama can be found at the corner of a platform you’ll need to jump onto before reaching the top. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • A corpse can be seen on a bridge leading to the western island of Lake Sanaru.
  • Samurai's Locks can be seen inside a large chest at the top of the island. [Nioh 3 Map]
  • You can find a Kagutsuchi's Magatama near the large chest. [Nioh 3 Map]

Lake Sanaru Docks

• Upon entering the Docks in Lake Sanaru, clear out the Enemy Base to freely explore the area. Defeat 13 enemies to clear out the base.
• A Kodama can be found on one of the boats docked at Lake Sanaru Docks. [Nioh 3 Map]
• On the rooftop at the top of the main boat in Lake Sanaru Docks will be a Chijiko in the air. This Chijiko unlocks Transformed Art: Lightning Blade Lightning and drops x1 Samurai's Locks. [Nioh 3 Map]
• A Kodama can be seen next to a large chest inside the large boat at the docks [Nioh 3 Map]

Corpses that you can loot can be found at the following locations:

• A corpse can be seen on a bridge leading to the western island of Lake Sanaru.
• Navigate to the left edge of the Scampuss on the bridge. There will be a platform that will lead you to a Spirit Vein. This Spirit Vein requires you to have the Guardian Spirit, Enko, and will lead you to two corpses. 
• A corpse can be seen at the edge of a platform as you scale the top of western island
• A corpse can be seen near the gates of Lake Sanaru Docks, where you can find x3 Shrapnel Bombs
• A corpse can be seen in the corner of the main boat docked at Lake Sanaru.
• Two corpses near each other can be seen on the main boat in Lake Sanaru Docks.
• A corpse can be found next to a boat behind a stack of supply crates.
• There will be a corpse in the middle of a road across the Waterside Shrine.
• Atop a cliff, overlooking the Docks in Lake Sanaru, will be a corpse by on the ledge.
• Inside the broken-down temple in the southeast area, there will be a corpse by the hole.
• Inside the cave below the temple will be a corpse on a boulder.
• A corpse will be on a ledge atop a cliff after locating the Six Jizo.
• There is a corpse next to a small chest at the top of a watchtower.
• You'll find a corpse in the middle of the western road from the North Shrine.
• A corpse will be on top of a log by the waterfalls.
• Continuing to the east, past the log, will be a corpse leaning on a boulder.
• Near the Usugiri Marshland Shrine will be a corpse leaning on a tree.
• West of the shrine will be two corpses next to each other.
• You'll find two more corpses next to the giant tree in the marshland area.
• Below the Spirit Veins in the marshland, there will be another corpse. 
• In the left corner of the marshland is a corpse.
• You'll find a corpse leaning on a boulder behind the large tree in the marshland. 
• You'll find a corpse near the platforms leading to Hamamatsu.
• A corpse can be seen in front of a cart near a Kodama.
• A corpse can be found near a Skeleton Warrior in the northern area of Lake Sanaru.
• Three corpses can be found around the house next to the Gaki Chief.
• A corpse can be found at the top of a staircase past the Gaki Chief.
• You'll find a corpse on the western path from the Otsuri Bridge.
• Before the cave leading to Lake Hamana, there will be a corpse you can reach by dropping down. 
• Inside the same cave, a corpse will be located in the middle of the path.
