Ryoma's Bequeathment is a Myth in Nioh 3. In Ryoma's Bequeathment, the player has to find a keepsake of Ryoma Sakamoto, which was obtained by the Shinsengumi Myths in Nioh 3 are story quests that consist of granting a request from the shadows of the deceased that can be completed to earn rewards. Myths are not required to reach the ending, but completing them will reward the player with various items that can help boost their character's progression or reveal secret locations.

A friend of Himiko's, Ryoma Sakamoto, was killed in a battle that occurred at Omiya, and it seems the Shinsengumi ran off with something of his. I'd best investigate Omiya.

How to Unlock Ryoma's Bequeathment Myth in Nioh 3

• After completing the main mission, Accursed Temple, Ryoma's Bequeathment will be unlocked. Head to the Gambling Den in Shichijo and talk to Himiko [Nioh 3 Map]. She will then tell you that the Shinsengumi stole from the loyalists, and will ask you to look for clues in Omiya.

Full Ryoma's Bequeathment Mission Walkthrough

Finding clues in Omiya

Go to the structure marked by the objective, just north of the Kawaramachi Crossroads shrine [Nioh 3 Map]. Use the Spirit Vein [Nioh 3 Map] to get to the walkway above and enter the nearest room to find a chest containing a Warrior's Text and several random pieces of equipment. Thenm go inside the room on the north to find yokai devouring on two corpses. Defeat the enemies, then loot both corpses to obtain random pieces of armor, then finish the dialogue to gather clues for the myth. Go back to Himiko to report your findings, and she will ask you to meet her in Sanjo.

Fast travel to the Oshikoji Street shrine [Nioh 3 Map], then go west to get to Himiko's location. Use the spirit vein to continue through the main path, then talk to Himiko just past the torii gate to continue with the myth. Walk with Himiko to a corpse holding a letter — loot it to obtain Ryoma's Letter.

Shortly after obtaining the letter, several enemies will show up, such as an Ippon-Datara, a Ninja Yoki, and a One-eyed Imp. Defeat the waves of enemies, and a Mezuki will show up in the area. The Mezuki boss wields a greatsword in combat, so its attacks will be quite slow and predictable. As Himiko will be with you during the fight, you can use her as a distraction while you attack from behind. For more information about the Mezuki, you may refer to the combat guide on this page.

Once the Mezuki is defeated, it may drop several random pieces of equipment that you can use to progress your character. Hand Ryoma's Letter to Himiko, and Ryoma's Bequeathment will be completed. You will receive Ninja's Locks, Trousers of the Exalted, and a Hand Mirror for completing the myth.
