Power of House Marais is a Unique Weapon Effect in Nightreign. Unique Weapon Effects are special buffs tied to specific weapons in Nightreign, offering unique offensive or defensive perks. Effects vary between runs, as weapons are randomly acquired from chests and field bosses.

- Usable Armament Types: Greatsword
- The damage bonus from this buff applies to all damage sources, including spells.
- In Patch 1.02.3, changes were made to how stacks of the buff persist.
- Stacks are no longer lost upon Death (whether it is a complete death or a near-death)
- Stacks are no longer lost when someone opens the door to the Nightlord
- Stacks are kept even if the weapon is dropped, and will continue to apply to all other damage sources.
- Can be stacked up to 100 times for a total of +70% damage (as of patch 1.02.3)
- 1 thru 30 stacks yields +1.1% damage per stack
- 31 thru 50 stacks yields +0.85% damage per stack
- 51 thru 100 stacks yields +0.4% damage per stack
- Please note that these are additive -- as in, 30 stacks = +33%, 50 stacks = +50%, and 100 stacks = +70%
- Power of House Marais cannot stack with additional copies of itself (i.e. due to powerstancing two Marias Executioner's Swords)
- Marais Executioner's Sword must be actively equipped (in either main hand or off hand) to build up stacks on the Power of House Marais attack buff. But the stacks will remain if the weapon is unequipped, or swapped to a different weapon.
- This legendary passive used to stack differently in previous patches of the game.
- Prior to 1.02.3, all stacks gained from Power of House Marais were lost on death, excluding near-death.

Does this stack if you're dual wielding Marais Executioner's Swords?

Seems like you need it equipped to gain the attack buff. But do you need to keep it equipped after gaining however much bonus you want?

This weapon buff gives about 1.5-1.6% attack power per enemy killed, stacks infinitely. Includes ashes of war, spells etc, anything that does damage. You lose all the stacks you accumulated if you die. I got to 226 attack power and I got the sword just before the night 2 boss. You can’t get this weapon “too late” as long as you have friends committed to running into storm to help increase your power

Is the attack buff greater than Power of Vengeance (does it do more damage when the same number of enemies were killed when using this passive as with Vengeance)?

Do u have to have this weapon out or can u just have it as one of ur 6 weapons to get the passive effect?

Get 128 stacks of this with hacks! Then the game won't bully you anymore and your teammates will love you as you steamroll the bosses!
In the wormface night boss fight you can stack up the attack power to an incredibly high level by defeating the infinitely summoned rats and crabs.

This is permanent btw, and I think if you have the relic that shares your weapon abilities, your team also gets this buff
Got it halfway into day 1 months ago and I've been chasing that high ever since, but I can't go back
