Retainer's Tonfa | Nioh 3 Wiki

Retainer's Tonfa are a pair of Tonfa in Nioh 3. Tonfa are short-ranged weapons resembling a stick with a perpendicular handle, used in pairs for blocking, striking, and grappling Enemies and Bosses. The Tonfa is a Ninja-style weapon, and can only be used when the Ninja fighting style is active. All Weapons in Nioh 3 also come with their own Skill Tree, which can provide Martial Arts for Samurai and Ninjutsu (Ninja Skills) for Ninja.

 

Tonfa used by pechin, who came from mid-ranking samurai families and worked as retainers to the Sho clan, the rulers of Ryukyu Province, present-day Okinawa. Some pechin who were granted land were referred to as "Pekumi."

 

Nioh 3 Retainer's Tonfa Weapon General Information

• Retainer's Tonfa is impacted by Constitution, Strength, and Skill. The stat with the highest value will affect your attack greatly, the next highest will affect it slightly, and the lowest will have a minimal effect.
• Retainer's Tonfa can be used with the Ninja Style.
• Retainer's Tonfa's Base Attack is directly impacted by its level, rarity, and the player's Stats.
• Unlike Armor and Accessories, Weapons such as Retainer's Tonfa, DO NOT require a certain amount of Stats to activate their Special Effects.
• Weapons also DON'T have a weight value.
• Retainer's Tonfa is not part of a set

For each rarity of Retainer's Tonfa, will grant the following:

• Common rarity will grant one random Special Effects
• Uncommon rarity will grant two random Special Effects
• Rare rarity will grant two random Special Effects
• Exotic rarity can grant up to three random Special Effects
• Divine rarity will grant a Divine Grace to any Divine Armor, Melee or Ranged Weapon. They will receive one of the divine graces as long as they aren't already a part of a Set Bonus.

Familiarity:

• Indicates how much you have used an item. The higher your familiarity, the stronger an item's abilities, and the more Amrita you will obtain when you offer the item at a shrine.

 

How to Get Retainer's Tonfa in Nioh 3

• May drop from certain enemies in Lake Sanaru.
• May be dropped by enemies in Iinoya.

 

Retainer's Tonfa Possible Special Effects in Nioh 3

Every Weapon with the same name always comes with a fixed special effect, plus additional random effects. In the case of Retainer's Tonfa its fixed special effect is Martial Arts Ki Consumption -2.0%.
