Cleansing Tear is a Relic in Nightreign. The Cleansing Tear is a brand-new unique relic introduced with The Forsaken Hollows DLC. It can be equipped by the Scholar, and can be obtained upon progressing his Rememberance Quest. Relics are permanent rewards earned by Nightfarers after each successful or unsuccessful expedition, these relics randomly generate passive benefits that can apply bonuses or effects to various aspects of a Nightfarer's stats, skills, and combat. Managing Relics can be done by conducting a relic rite via the Relic Rites area in the Roundtable Hold. Relics used in rites are not consumed and can be repeatedly used in later relic rites. The Relic Rite menu can be accessed directly from the Roundtable Hold menu.
Fast-acting medicine for a disease that afflicted the Albinaurics that works by removing invasive contaminants.
The vassal who developed the medicine did so by testing it on his own body. It was successful, and used to treat patients, but the vassal himself passed, his sickness already too advanced.
Both the disease and the cure are not mentioned in the annals of history, and the person responsible for their omission is unknown.

- By equipping the "Relics" obtained when returning from a mission on your character, you can gain the powers embedded in the relics whenever you set out on your next expeditions. Relics come with up to three random effects, and each character can equip up to three relics on their designated vessels. Some relics have effects that work in any situation, while others are specific to certain characters or abilities. Relics can be managed via the Relic Rites Menu, which can be found at the Roundtable Hold.

cleansing tear + dark night of miasma = best (and relic-efficient) combo
you'll need the remembrance chalice (red,blue,white) to do it, but it's worth
you can even slot in blue ED maris if you are feeling extra paranoid of being 1-shot

sucks that this relic is the only one with the continuous damage. Scholar is not the one getting the killing blow on most enmies and is too busy managing consumables to farm little mobs. Affinity negation is always nice, but i doubt it's a signficant % and there's a million better relic effects for those 2 slots.

This is actually one of the best character relics. You probably are wondering why affinity damage negation is there. It's to put birb out of business. You can shield poke and eat affinity attacks up yum yum. This character is literally the comfiest pick in the fame

From training ground testing, the continuous damage seems to be around ~30 per second, so ~600 across the total duration of the ult (~20 seconds). Seems pretty good to me.. that's how much damage other ults do.
Relic isn't particularly astounding but it has 2 effects you need, the no downside negation is just neato
