Dark Night of the Wise is a Relic in Nightreign. Dark Night of the Wise is a unique relic that can be purchased from the Collector Signboard upon defeating the Everdark Sovereign Gnoster Wisdom of Night, all Nightfarers can use and slot this relic into green colored vessel slots of the equipped chalice. Relics are permanent rewards earned by Nightfarers after each successful or unsuccessful expedition, these relics randomly generate passive benefits that can apply bonuses or effects to various aspects of a Nightfarer's stats, skills, and combat. Managing Relics can be done by conducting a relic rite via the Relic Rites area in the Roundtable Hold. Relics used in rites are not consumed and can be repeatedly used in later relic rites. The Relic Rite menu can be accessed directly from the Roundtable Hold menu.
The night belonging to Gnoster, left upon its defeat.
The power of its namesake can be unlocked by performing a relic rite.
The secluded forest was being eaten away by the surrounding desert, and when the blessing of water passed over its many leaves and boughs, thus began a great exodus of its creatures.
To survive, the insects would have to adapt. So began their prolonged and perilous journey.

AnonymousDon't let the youtubers fool you, THIS is the BiS for Duchess.

AnonymousLovely on both Revenant and Duchess - Although I feel Duchess makes better use of the "successive attack restore FP" (it procs on Revenant claws while two handing, but not as much as Duchess dagger 1h moveset), it will solve all your FP problems on both characters regardless of who you're playing.

AnonymousGreat relic, but the maximum FP is a flat +25 at all levels. FP for 3+ staves is a flat 50.
Recluses should ideally have a +3 staves with Rises FP. Obviously FP recovery on chain attacks is a useless stat for her. Still probably BiS for duchess, though.

AnonymousStacks with old pocket watch.
Each gives 5% of your total FP bar back per relic. You can turn Dutchess into a total DPS machine. Dumping your FP bar and getting it back in a pinch. I have so much fun with spells and weapon arts . Imo Dutchess plays how I wanted recluse to play
AnonymousCan confirm the comment below. Effect only gives 5% back each proc (so you need 20 to go from empty to full). With both, I "only" needed to proc 10 times. It would still be better just taking Dark Night of the Wise by itself since it also gives you more FP to begin with (plus more FP for every Rise you unlock) so you end up getting about the same amount of FP back regardless.

AnonymousThe FP restoration on successive attacks from the Dark Night of the Wise stacks with the same effect on the Old Pocketwatch.

Anonymous*drops Old Pocketwatch* I don't want to play with you anymore
(jkjk Old Pocketwatch will always be the goat to me but this relic is just superior in every way)

AnonymousThe effect of restoring fp can be superimposed with OLD POCKETWATCH

Anonymouspretty sick fight! surprised though with the color of the third boss, it didnt add rot to the mix lol
this relic is obviously good for Recluse, Duchess and Revenant right out the gate, but if you go in looking for certain weapons/AoWs, like Barrage for ironeye, can also be pretty decent

Did this get nerfed? It used to take 3 hits two handed with revenant claws to restore FP, but seems to take 4-5 now.
