Tomoe Gozen is an NPC in Nioh 3. She is a warrior woman in service to Minamoto no Yoshinaka. Tomoe Gozen was a warrior woman in service to Minamoto no Yoshinaka.
Minamoto no Yoshitsune suspected that an aratama that appeared at a certain temple could be Tomoe Gozen. Yoshitsune and Tomoe had previously crossed blades, so he accompanied Takechiyo to investigate. Tomoe Gozen had been defeated once by Yoshitsune, and she was tricked by Kajiwara Kagetoki and brought to Yoshinaka's grave. There, magic turned her into an aramata. She managed to regain her sanity thanks to the efforts of Takechiyo and Yoshitsune, and as a show of gratitude, she offered to share her skills.
