Kintaro's Axe is an Axe in Nioh 3. Axes are bladed tools modified or designed for combat, featuring a heavy head on a handle that delivers concentrated chopping power used to deal damage to Enemies and Bosses. The Axe is a Samurai-style weapon, and can only be used when the Samurai fighting style is active. All Weapons in Nioh 3 also come with their own Skill Tree, which can provide Martial Arts for Samurai and Ninjutsu (Ninja Skills) for Ninja.

A legendary axe said to be the favored weapon of the great hero Sakata Kintoki, who went by the name Kintaro in his youth. Raised in the wilderness near Mount Ashigara, he gained his fabled strength by wrestling with wild bears as a child. When he grew up, he became a vassal of Minamoto no Yorimitsu and slew Shuten Doji, a demon who was terrorizing Kyoto. However, he came down with a fever in Mimasaka Province while traveling to Kyushu and perished.

Nioh 3 Kintaro's Axe Weapon General Information

• Kintaro's Axe is impacted by Constitution, Stamina, and Strength. The stat with the highest value will affect your attack greatly, the next highest will affect it slightly, and the lowest will have a minimal effect.
• Kintaro's Axe can be used with the Samurai Style.
• Kintaro's Axe's Base Attack is directly impacted by its level, rarity, and the player's Stats.
• Unlike Armor and Accessories, Weapons such as Kintaro's Axe, DO NOT require a certain amount of Stats to activate their Special Effects.
• Weapons also DON'T have a weight value.
• Kintaro's Axe is part of the Kintaro set.

For each rarity of Kintaro's Axe, will grant the following:

• Common rarity will grant one random Special Effects
• Uncommon rarity will grant two random Special Effects
• Rare rarity will grant two random Special Effects
• Exotic rarity can grant up to three random Special Effects
• Divine rarity will grant a Divine Grace to any Divine Armor, Melee or Ranged Weapon. They will receive one of the divine graces as long as they aren't already a part of a Set Bonus.

Familiarity:

• Indicates how much you have used an item. The higher your familiarity, the stronger an item's abilities, and the more Amrita you will obtain when you offer the item at a shrine.

Kintaro Set is composed of 6 total pieces and to obtain its full bonuses players require to equip all of them. This set is completed by adding the following pieces:

• Kintaro's Headband
• Kintaro's Cuirass
• Kintaro's Gauntlets
• Kintaro's Waistguard
• Kintaro's Greaves

In order to activate the full set, players require to have 15 Stamina and 14 Strength.
