Hello there. Together, we work. Together for Miquella the Kind. Many things we have found.
Moore Location in Elden Ring
Moore can be found at a small camp located just outside Belurat, Tower Settlement.
- This NPC moves beside the Forager Brood Cookbook (4) north of the Church of the Crusade if he dies when he invades you, or when you tell him to "Remain sad forever" during a dialogue encounter with him after Miquella's rune breaks.
- You can fight this NPC in the NPC group battle in Enir-Ilim. Moore's Bell Bearing, Verdigris Greatshield, and Verdigris Set can be looted from his corpse afterwards.

Moore Quest Objectives in Elden Ring
- Meet Moore outside Belurat, Tower Settlement
- Meet Thiollier
- Speak with Moore after breaking Miquella's charm
Elden Ring Moore Notes & Trivia
- Lockout conditions for Moore's quest:
- If you kill any two of the passive Lesser Kindred of Rot (Pests) you will be invaded by Moore. If you kill him, you will lose Moore, and possibly lock you out of his key items, such as the Black Syrup, if it has not already been obtained.
- If Thiollier leaves his original location to search for St. Trina, Moore will not give the Black Syrup anymore, making it unobtainable in the current NG cycle.
- To maximize the rewards players get in completing Moore's quest, we recommend you obtain the Forager Cookbooks and the Black Syrup, then have him invade you by killing a few Lesser Kindred of Rot (Pests) to acquire his equipment earlier and exclude him from the fight in Enir-Ilim.
- When defeated in his invasion "Recusant Vanquished" is displayed, but this is most likely an error as Moore has no other connection to the Volcano Manor.
- Bears a striking resemblance to Siegmeyer of Catarina of Dark Souls and Lonesome Gavlan of Dark Souls 2.

Moore in Gravesite Plain
Meeting Moore
You'll first encounter Moore and Sir Ansbach at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace, near Belurat Tower Settlement. Speak to Moore to access him as a merchant. After purchasing any item from him, you can speak with him further. Meeting Moore will also unlock additional dialogue from Sir Ansbach.
(Optional) Visit Thiollier at the
Pillar Path Cross Site of Grace to meet him and unlock dialogue with Moore. Return to Moore, who will give the Black Syrup to take back to Thiollier. NOTE: You must complete this step before either Moore or Thiollier leaves their initial locations, or you will be unable to obtain the Black Syrup.
Forager Brood Cookbooks
Moore leads the Forager Brood, a group of friendly Pests searching for crafting materials and recipes across the Land of Shadow. Interact with all six members to collect their cookbooks. One member will need help with a Warming Stone or Sunwarmth Stone. After assisting this member, speak to Moore to receive the seventh cookbook.
NOTE: If you break Miquella's charm and then tell Moore to "Put it behind you," "Remain sad forever," or kill him before collecting all seven Forager Brood Cookbooks, you will lose access to any remaining cookbooks.
The following Forager Brood Cookbooks are available:
| Cookbook Name | Recipes | Location |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (1) | Scadu Altus: Northwest of Ruined Forge of Starfall Site of Grace, along the cliffside | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (2) | Gravesite Plain: South-southeast of the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, and located due east of Prospect Town. | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (3) | Northeast of the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace, past the lightning rams on the far corner by the cliffside | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (4) | Scadu Altus: North of the Church of the Crusade. This Pest will be found shivering and unresponsive. Use a Warming Stone or Sunwarmth Stone to warm it up, then quit/reload to get the cookbook | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (5) | Scadu Altus: Northeast of the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace, through the cave with the Miranda Sprouts and Perfumers, and to the right of the tree. Slowly head down into the swamp and you'll find the pest by a small poison puddle on the cliffside | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (6) | West of the Church District Highroad Site of Grace, up the cliff above the tunnel road and then on to the outer wall of Shadow Keep. Note that getting here will involve going northeast from Bonny Village and triggering the breaking of Miquella's charm. | |
| Forager Brood Cookbook (7) | Given to you by Moore when speaking to him after receiving Forager Brood Cookbook (4) |
If the player kills a friendly Lesser Kindred of Rot, they will receive a warning the next time that Moore speaks to them, mentioning that he knows a forager brood was killed, and that killing one is unforgivable. This warning dialogue will not be given if Miquella's rune has been broken. If the player kills a second friendly Pest, Moore will immediately invade and try to kill them.
- If you kill Moore when he invades: he will drop Moore's Bell Bearing, Verdigris Greatshield, and Verdigris Set and his quest will end. This will make a later boss fight easier, but possibly lock you out from receiving the Black Syrup if not already obtained from Moore.
- If you ignore Moore or die to him when he invades: He will remain friendly, as though you didn't attack the Pest at all.
Losing the Light
Breaking Miquella's charm will prompt Moore to ask, "Must we be sad forever?" You have three options:
- "'Put it behind you"': Moore will move on and confront you in a later boss fight. This choice may lock you out of the Forager Brood Cookbooks or Black Syrup if you haven’t obtained them yet and delay acquiring Moore's gear. NOTE: If you've met Thiollier but haven’t received the Black Syrup, speak to Moore immediately after this choice to obtain it.
- "Remain sad forever": Moore will fall deeper into despair and die after your next rest. You’ll find his body outside the Church of the Crusade, near the fourth Forager Brood Pest, where you can loot Moore's Bell Bearing, Verdigris Greatshield, and the Verdigris Set. This choice may also lock you out of the Forager Brood Cookbooks or Black Syrup if you haven’t received them yet, but it will make a later boss fight easier.
- "I don't know": Moore will remain where he is, allowing you to choose another option later. This is recommended until you have all the Forager Brood Cookbooks and Black Syrup.
If you burn the Sealing Tree without making a choice: Moore will remain where he is, making a later boss fight easier. You can still acquire the Verdigris Greatshield and the Verdigris Set by killing two Forager Brood and defeating Moore during his invasion. Moore's Bell Bearing will be available at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace. NOTE: Once the Sealing Tree is burned, Thiollier will move to the Garden of Deep Purple if he hasn’t already, and you will be unable to give him the Black Syrup.
Moore in Enir-Ilim
If you told Moore to "Put it behind you", he will fight against you in the NPC battle in Enir-Ilim (after the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom Site of Grace). After winning that fight, you'll be able to loot Moore's Bell Bearing, Verdigris Greatshield, and Verdigris Set from his corpse in the same room.
Dialogue in Elden Ring: Moore
Introduction
- Hello there. Together, we work. Together for Miquella the Kind. Many things we have found.
- I like finding things. For you, Lady Leda, her allies, and the forager brood. Things bring joy to all.
- Welcome… You come often. You enjoy things. I like finding things. I like you.
After helping a forager brood
- Oh, I know. This is for you. The forager brood give their thanks.
After Meeting Thiollier
- (Talk to Moore) Oh I know, give this to Thiollier. He asked me to find it. I finally found it. Many things, we have found. (Gives Black Syrup)
After the Great Rune breaks
- I don’t feel it. It’s broken. Kind Miquella’s light is gone. But I stand tall. Together, we work. Together, for Miquella the Kind.
- (Talk to Moore) I don’t know what to do. Our mother abandoned her brood. She did not love us. We are her children, what should we do? Must we be sad forever?
- (Put it behind you) Hm. Maybe that’s Kindly Miquella’s love. Love for all the unloved. Love, to banish the pain.
- (Remain sad forever) Hmm. Sad, forever. Sad, forever and ever.
- (I don't know) Mm. I don’t know either.
If 'Put it behind you' was chosen
- Yes. The unloved, every single one of us… can banish our pain forever.
Be summoned to challenge Needle Knight Leda and her allies
- You and I, fighting. A tragedy, this is.
- Miquella the Kind… will help us forget.
- (On player kill) One day, you will forget. The guidance...
- (On defeat) Sad, forever?
If 'I don't know' was chosen
- (After defeating Messmer) I don’t know how to be. Still, I have my brood. I enjoy foraging. It is enough.
- (After defeating the final boss) My brood is no more. No one comes to visit. Not Lady Leda. Not Father Dane. Not Sir Ansbach. Not Freyja. Not Thiollier. Not the hornsent. Where have they all gone?
- Thank you. No one comes to visit. Except you.
After the killing a forager brood
- One of the forager brood was killed. This thing, is a tragedy. This thing, cannot be forgiven.
Invading, in response to the second killing of a forager brood
- You hurt one of the forager brood. This thing, cannot be forgiven.
- (On player kill) You are no friend. A tragedy, this is.
- (On defeat) Sad, forever? Brood always bad?

Umm, oh… I had something I wish to tell you. I’m heading south. I’ve recalled something that Sir Moore said. He discovered deep-purple lilies blooming on the southern shore. That must be where St. Trina was left to wither away.
