Cookbooks | Elden Ring Wiki

Cookbooks in Elden Ring are Key Items with records of crafting techniques which automatically expand the player's crafting repertoire, often with recipes for Ammunition and Consumables. This page covers their names, items they unlock for crafting, and Locations. Crafting requires a Crafting Kit (purchased from Merchant Kalé at Church of Elleh) and can only be done outside of combat.

Cookbooks are kept when going into New Game+. They are also unique, meaning that they cannot be found in subsequent Journeys.

In total, there are 104 Cookbooks that can be found in Elden Ring. 45 are in Shadow of the Erdtree, and 59 are in the base game.

Forager Brood Cookbook [2]	Fireproof Pickled Liver	Given by a Non-hostile Servant of Rot. From the pond located to the east of the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, exactly all the way south on the map. It may require certain well-timed jumps from Torrent. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map
Forager Brood Cookbook [3]	Lightningproof Pickled Liver	Acquired from a pest who hands it to you if you interact with it at the north-east corner of the forest of lightning rams near the Furnace Golem on the Ellac River. Forager Brood Cookbook [4]	Holyproof Pickled Liver	Acquired by interacting with a pest found north of Church of the Crusade. The pest will be found shivering and unresponsive. Use a Warming Stone or Sunwarmth Stone to warm it up, and reload the area by teleporting or logging out. It can now be interacted with and will grant the cookbook. Forager Brood Cookbook [5]	Opaline Pickled Liver	Acquired by interacting with the pest found along the right cliff edge in the poisonous swamp north of Moorth ruins. The swamp can be reached by going through the cave with the Miranda flowers and Perfumers. Forager Brood Cookbook [6]	Well-Pickled Turtle Neck	Acquired by interacting with the pest found east outside of the Shadow Keep. It can be accessed from the Church District Highroad site of grace and traveling West up the cliff above the tunnel road, then continuing West to the outer wall of the keep. Forager Brood Cookbook [7]	Spirit Raisin Charming Branch	Acquired by selecting the option "Talk to Moore" when speaking with Moore. Requires having used a Warming Stone to help the pest near the Church of the Crusade. Finger-Weaver's Cookbook [2]	Fingerprint Nostrum	Found on a corpse before the bell in Finger Ruins of Miyr. Only accessible after progressing Ymir's questline and finding the secret path under the Cathedral. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map
Greater Potentate's Cookbook [1]	Hefty Fire Pot	Scorched Ruins: From the Hefty Cracked Pot, just head right until a set of stairs is on your left. Take them and continue forward to find the cookbook. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map

Greater Potentate's Cookbook [6]	Hefty Red Lightning Pot	Found on a cliff edge corpse north of the spirit spring used to launch up towards the Foot of the Jagged Peak grace. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map
Greater Potentate's Cookbook [7]	Hefty Poison Pot	Found in the swamp area, on the east side of the area where the Bloodfiends and Messmer soldiers are fighting. Greater Potentate's Cookbook [8]	Hefty Fetid Pot	Rauh Base: From the Ravine North site of grace, follow the river west to the west-most area near a water-logged cemetery. The orange side of the river will have a large green mound full of Horn-Strewn Excrement; The Cookbook will be on top of the mound. Map Link

Greater Potentate's Cookbook [13]	Hefty Volcano Pot	Ruined Forge Lava Intake. Take the first ladder down, and go up the set of stairs on the right, you will find it on a body near the back wall. This cookbook allows you to craft a Hefty Volcano Pot. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map

Ancient Dragon Knight's Cookbook [1]	Red Lightning Pot	Fog Rift Catacombs. After the room with the sorcerer, the path opens up. Take the right side first, fight the two imps and grab this item from the ground. See Shadow of the Erdtree Map
Ancient Dragon Knight's Cookbook [2]	Dragonbolt Grease Drawstring Dragonbolt Grease	Found in a chest in Scorpion River Catacombs. Right after the room with the annoying elevated sorcerer and two imps, you'll come across a bridge patrolled by more death eyes. St. Trina Disciple's Cookbook [1]	Eternal Sleep Pot	Cerulean Coast: From the Cerulean Coast Cross site of grace, head north, across a coffin ship, and while mounted, double jump to the hill with a large, wilted tree being guarded by a Cemetery Shade. Follow the path through a room full of Snails and you'll end up with a room with two ways forward - one down a flight of steps, another through an open doorway to your left. Head left first, being wary of Snails that may ambush you and continue until you reach a dead end. The corpse at the end of this passageway has the cookbook on it, and to the left of it, reveal another hidden door that opens up into a room with the Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes. Map Link

Once you reach a large open area, you should see a Golden Tree on a ledge above you, jump onto this rock and you will see a giant crow enemy, the corpse where this cookbook is found is resting on the cliff to the east. Cross the rock bridge and drop down onto a lower area on the left and continue up the path until you reach a large, open area of lava and an Abductor Virgin enemy. Perfumer's Cookbook [1]	Spark Aromatic Uplifting Aromatic	In the first chest when entering Perfumer's Ruins, NW of Abandoned Coffin site in Altus Plateau. Near the table where the Perfume Bottle is located. Map Link
Perfumer's Cookbook [2]	Poison Spraymist Bloodboil Aromatic	Found on a corpse sitting in a chair on one of the rooftops at The Shaded Castle, in Altus Plateau. From the Shaded Castle Inner Gate Site of Grace, head north and climb up the ladder on your left. Enter the dark library area and look for a ladder up, climb up to find the Cookbook. Map Link
