Aradin is an NPC in Baldur's Gate 3. Aradin can be found at Druid Grove. Aradin alongside his companions - Remira and Barth are encountered while they are fighting off a group of Goblins that have followed them to the Druid Grove's gate. There is a massive amount of NPCs in Baldur's Gate 3, and their ideals, needs and way of living are strictly related to the actions they perform during the course of the game. Their attitude towards you and your party may be affected by the deeds and decisions you and your party taken on.

Aradin Dialogue Options in BG3
You first encounter Aradin arguing with Zevlor. He will be accompanied by his companions Remira and Barth, arguing to open the gate leading to Emerald Grove. After the cutscene plays out, you will then be engaged in Combat. This will update your journal for Find a Cure. Your first optional responses come after your Combat encounter ends and after you enter through the gates. Zevlor and Aradin will continue to argue. Your next set of choices will look like this:
- Where there's one goblin, there's ten. I'm leaving before the horde shows up.
- One fight just ended, and now you're picking another? Relax.
- Druid? Those goblins didn't take any prisoners.
- You can cough up my payment any time now.
Choosing the second option will just make Zevlor provoke Aradin in some way. Then they go back and forth insulting each other. Your next set of choices will look like this:
- [INTIMIDATION] If you want me to take both of you down, I will. Otherwise, knock it off.
- Stand back and watch.
- [PERSUASION] More violence won't bring back those you lost. Stop and think.
If you successfully pass the Persuasion check skill check will make Zevlor say you're right and there's too much at stake. Aradin then makes another side comment to insult Zevlor but he didn't bite back and says squabbling is pointless since the goblins already found their camp. You will also receive approval from Shadowheart and Gale for choosing the third option.
If you stand back and watch, Zevlor will punch Aradin, knocking him out.
- Later on, you can find Aradin and his group in the forest or in The Hollow, around a bunch of dead bodies, adventurers and goblins alike. He was leading his crew to fulfil a contract, but it wasn't specified that there were goblins involved.
- If you ask about what job was that, he tells you that a Wizard in Baldur's Gate pays a lot for a relic buried near their location. This starts the Find the Nightsong Quest. He gives you the Stamped Handbill.
- You can also ask about Halsin. Aradin tells you that Halsin joined them when he found out about the group was trying to recover Nightsong. After the goblin's attack, they lost Halsin.

Found Aradin's grave in Act 3, in the lower city graveyard near the Grand Mausoleum. His grave is saying "*Aradin the Elder - 'Open the bloody Gates'*". I'm not sure what choices I did in my game, but I believe that in my game, he left the emerald grove after arguing with Zevlor.

Pickpocket his gold to force him to pick a fight with you in act 1 for a bit of exp

Can confirm that if you deal with Lorroakan right away following the conversation with Aradin at the tower entrance he will not appear again. No nighttime attack. Lucky for him I guess. Doesn't really matter at this point in the game, the XP likely doesn't matter for you anymore.

I know everyone is shitting on Aradin and for quite good reasons but god does he awaken something in me :") I wish I could romance this racist doucheback, completely ignoring all of his red flags ^^. But on a more serious note, whY ON EARTH can we not console him when he's sitting surrounded by all the dead bodies. Man just got his party wiped, let me hug him :( just something enough to NOT make him ambush me during act 3 at least...

If you keep Aradin alive in, he reappears in Act 3 in front of Sorcerous Sundries, arguing with a construct. If you speak with him, and Nightsong is alive, no matter what you do, the conversation ALWAYS ends up with him vowing to find Nightsong. Which mechanically means, the next time you take a long rest, you are ambushed by him and half a dozen mercs. There are NO ways around this, no matter what dialogue option you choose, Aradin was doomed to die from the start. By your hand, or by goblins. What merit is there in keeping Aradin ALIVE then? Inspiration for Soldier's, and potentially experience down the line. The Inspiration is conditional in that all three folks outside the gate at the Druid's Grove MUST be alive. If one of them bites it, and you don't care to reload, he is still worth some brief interactions with Zevlor for Approval, but beyond that - he is doomed to die. One way, or your way. This is one of those times where Larian dropped the ball when it comes to his interactions; instead of him trying to get paid, and admitting he does kidnapping jobs in one of the routes through the conversation, he could have been consoled for losing his crew, wanting the coin to not only pay them, but get them a proper burial, and through misguided anger, and lack of professionalism, tried to take it out of the hide of his employer. TL:DR - Aradin is doomed to die, no matter your choice. So, choose.

What happens to this fool if you tell him nightsong is alive in your camp? This is while he's in baldurs gate btw. He just threatened me basically but haven't seen him since

Does Aradin's Key open anything? I stole it from him after Zevlor knocked him out.

I had a STR option to punch him and knock him out. I did that, passed the check and dialogue was over. I went to talk to him, he got up, called me a foulblood, and walked away.

His party is very insulting and disrespectful, so i decided to kill them all and nobody else in the grove reacted to it. LOL
