Mizora is an NPC in Baldur's Gate 3. Mizora is Wyll's Handler. There is a massive amount of NPCs in Baldur's Gate 3, and their ideals, needs and way of living are strictly related to the actions they perform during the course of the game. Their attitude towards you and your party may be affected by the deeds and decisions you and your party have taken on.

Where to find Mizora in Baldur's Gate 3

Mizora appears in all three acts of Baldur's Gate 3 as part of Wyll's personal questline. She is first encountered at the campsite in Act 1 after the party completes (or fails) the hunt for Karlach. In Act 2 she appears both as a projection at Moonrise Towers and physically trapped inside a pod in the Mind Flayer Colony. In Act 3 she returns to the campsite and can also be found at Wyrm's Rock Fortress during the events surrounding Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard.

Mizora can be found at:

Mizora's Key Appearances, Events & Major Choices in BG3

Mizora has short, fiery-red hair tucked behind pointed ears, pale blue skin, purplish lips, and coal-black eyes with irises speckled by fire. She wears a gold and ruby ornament resembling a tiara and an elegant blue dress with a gilded belt. Four curved horns and large, leathery wings give her an imposing yet alluring presence.

In her human form (present in game files but not used in the standard version of Baldur's Gate 3) she appears with fair skin, softer ginger hair, and blue eyes. Players can only see this form through mods.

Mizora behaves like a cold, calculating infernal lawyer. She is manipulative, mischievous, and openly sadistic, yet she frames her actions as being in the best interest of her "pets." She never breaks a contract but frequently twists its wording to her advantage. She shows genuine loyalty and affection toward Zariel and takes visible pride when Wyll makes difficult choices that demonstrate strength. She refers to Wyll as her favorite pet and seems to enjoy watching him grow through the hardships she creates.

Act Location Key Event / Interaction Major Choices & Consequences
Act 1 Campsite (after Karlach quest) Mizora appears and reveals herself as Wyll's patron. Reacts to Karlach's fate. • Kill Karlach → Wyll receives Infernal Robe
• Spare Karlach & refuse to kill her → Mizora transforms Wyll into a devil (horns, etc.) as punishment
Act 2 Moonrise Towers (projection) + Mind Flayer Colony pod Tasks Wyll with rescuing "Zariel's asset" (herself). Trapped in a pod in the colony. • Rescue her from the pod → She promises to break the pact in 6 months
• Kill her in the pod → Wyll also dies (major consequence)
Act 3 Wyrm's Rock Fortress / Campsite Final pact negotiations regarding Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard. Offers deals involving Wyll's soul and his father's life. • Break the pact → Duke may die unless saved through other means; Wyll is eventually freed
• Accept new deal / pledge soul → Wyll stays bound (different ending path)
• Mizora can still appear and assist in the final battle in some outcomes

Mizora Dialogue Options and Key Choices in Baldur's Gate 3

Mizora appears at the Underdark Camp. When she appears, you have the following options:

  1. Just who in the Nine Hells are you?
  2. Well, well. Aren't you a luscious thing?
  3. Godsdamned devil. Get out of my camp!
  4. [WARLOCK] That's a nice set of wings. Let me guess: Wyll's patron?

If you flirt with her (option 2), Wyll and Karlach will disapprove.
She will eventually bring up a deal involving Karlach. If she is alive, Wyll will defend her, but Mizora will insist she has no heart.

  1. Get to the point, devil.  What do you want?
  2. If we kill Karlach now, will that get rid of you?
  3. You better not lay a damned finger on Karlach.
  4. Blast it all, Wyll. Why didn't you tell me about her?
  5. I've heard enough. You're not leaving this place alive.

Regardless of your choice, she will put Wyll in a pit of fire and change his form. If you chose answer 3 & 5 - WyllLae'zel, Gale and Shadowheart will approve

Moonrise Towers

Mizora will make an appearance again at Moonrise Towers.

  • Mizora appeared in the form of a projection to inform us that the Absolute cult abducted an infernal asset of some importance to the archdevil Zariel. We should find and release them - Wyll's very soul hangs in the balance.
  • We've delved deep into Moonrise Towers. We should search the area thoroughly - the devil that Mizora asked us to rescue must be nearby.

Continue through the Main Quests of the game until you reach Moonrise Towers. You'll be undergoing the task to Infiltrate Moonrise Towers

Depending on whether or not you’ve got Wyll in your party during one of your rests at camp, Mizora will come for a visit. She’ll tell you that one of Zariel’s devils has been captured by the cultists and brought to Moonrise Towers. Wyll’s next task, as per their pact, is to free this devil. You’ll have the following options to respond to this with:

  1. And this is our problem how, exactly?
  2. Forget it. This ‘asset’ can rot in the Towers for all I care.
  3. If this devil is so powerful, how did they manage to get captured?

If you choose the first option, she’ll do her usual referencing of their contract. Before she leaves, you’ll do a Perception check here to see if she’s hiding anything behind her usual attitude, and blurry appearance.

ruined battlefield12 locations world baldurs gate 3 wiki guide

If you did choose to take a long rest, you’ll be visited by your Dream Visitor again as you sleep. They’ll comment on how strong the Absolute’s influence is where you are, and then commend you for saving the refugees at the grove. You can respond with the following options:

  1. It wasn’t even a choice. They needed my help.
  2. It doesn’t seem like my help did them much good. The cultists caught up with them.
  3. It was a waste of time. I regret it now.
  4. I didn’t do it for them. The goblins were in my way, so I killed them.

Choosing the first option will have them say it’s not a choice just anyone could make, before wincing in pain. A successful Perception check will tell you that they’re hiding their struggle to protect you. You’ll have the following options to react with:

  1. What is it?
  2. Are you all right?
  3. Focus! Don’t you dare drop my protection.
  4. Say nothing.

A successful Insight check this time will tell you that despite her disciplined, strong demeanor, she also needs some comfort. You can choose to do the following:

  1. Say nothing. Wait.
  2. Hold (them) tight.
  3. You look terrible. Do you need a hug?
  4. Pull yourself together. We’ve got work to do.

They’ll appreciate the gesture if you choose to hold them and mention that it’s been quite a while since they’ve been held by someone. If you ask them who it was that used to hold them, they’ll reveal the name Belynne who they were very close to. They’ll tell you how the Absolute’s mental attacks to transform you have been relentless, but they’ll reaffirm her resolve to protect you for as long as they can.

Before leaving camp, you can talk to Wyll who’ll be quite pissed at his new task. You can ask him if this task violates their contract, as he was supposed to be killing devils, not rescuing them. Knowing how Mizora thinks, however, he confirms that the contract doesn’t say anything about saving a devil so the task still stands. You can continue the conversation which will end with the resolution to complete the task so he doesn’t get turned into a lemure.

To Rescue Zariel's asset from Moonrise, you'll need to make your way to the Mind Flayer Colony Membrane and head deeper in till you see Chop. Head past him towards the north. Deeper into the Colony until you reach the Tadpoling Centre. Search the Mind Flayer pods toward the west and you will find Mizora.

moonrise towers the blade of frontiers baldurs gate 3 wiki guide 600px min

  1. Mizora? You are the devil you sent Wyll to rescue?
  2. Figures. All that talk about Zariel's asset, I should've known you were lying.
  3. What have we here? Hold on - I need to relish the moment.

She then tells you to get her out and she will let Wyll go, and you will see that the control panel has two devices with illithid symbols.

  1. [BARBARIAN] [STRENGTH] SMASH THE POD.
  2. Examine the device on the left.
  3. Examine the device on the right.
  4. Leave her there.

Followed up by a chance to annihilate her:

  1. [BARBARIAN] [STRENGTH] SMASH THE POD.
  2. Connect your.  mind to 'annihilate' device and activate it
  3. Connect your.  mind to 'ybkeasg' device and activate it
  4. Leave her there.

Note: If you choose to annihilate her, this will also result in Wyll's demise. If you have strength available and you use it successfully to smash the pod, this will update the journal for the quest, and her pod will open. She will then state that she will release Wyll within six months.

  1. To the Hells with your conditions. Sever Wyll's pact now, or I'll sever your head.
  2.  A full half of a year? You've got to be kidding.
  3. Shrug. Six months isn't that long a wait.
  4. That warlock of yours is turning out to be more trouble than he's worth.

You can choose option 1, but she will not fight you and she will leave.

  • Note: If Wyll is in your party, she will reward him with an Infernal Rapier for his troubles if you manage to convince her.

Baldur's Gate

Mizora will be encountered in multiple locations, updating the journals found in The Blade of Frontiers.

 Act 3 Campsite
  • Mizora asked us to meet her in camp. She has an important proposal to make regarding Wyll's father, Grand Duke Ravengard.

You will be visited by Mizora at some point at Camp after a long rest. She will offer Wyll a deal.

pact the blade of frontiers baldurs gate 3 wiki guide 600px min

Here, you will meet the sisters of Justice. Wyll wants to find and save his father so Mizora gives him two choices. She offers another bargain. Your two options are the following:

  • If the Grand Duke is alive, then she will reveal his location, but Wyll will pledge his soul to Mizora and the archdevil Zariel. (If the Grand Duke is dead at this point then Mizora will resurrect him.)
  • The second option is to break his pact, but Wyll's father will die by his enemy's hand.

When she appears with a proposal, the dialogue will proceed as follows:

  1. What are you proposing?
  2. Then break it already. Wyll doesn't need to wait six months.
  3. Remain Silent.

Ask what he proposal is and she will elaborate.

Should you break Mizora's Pact?

  • If you remain pacted, your next objective will be to Rescue Ravengard from Gortash's secret prison.
  • If you break the pact, your next objective is to Continue onward with Wyll. Counsellor Florrick or Cordula Eltan will later ambush the party, while accusing Wyll of killing the father so he could take the city.
  • Your choices here will also affect your journal updates for the Rescue the Grand Duke.
  • Note: Before you make your choice, it is possible to break the pact and later on find a way to save his father if you find him alive at the Iron Throne

Your response here will determine his choice.

  1. What will happen to Wyll's powers if he breaks the pact?
  2. Save your father, Wyll. The city will need him to help rebuild.
  3. Do the right thing. Give your soul so that your father can live.
  4. Break the pact, Wyll. You deserve your freedom.
  5. Let your father die. When the city's free, you can take his place.

After the consequences of both these events play out, you will still be able to gain information to proceed with  quest and you will be able to proceed to Read The Legend of Ansur whether it is retrieved from the Grand Duke or looted from an ambush.

Can You Romance Mizora in BG3?

Yes, a one-time romance scene with Mizora is available in Act 3.

To trigger it, players must rescue Mizora from the pod in Act 2 and then rest at camp in Act 3 while she is present. Flirtatious dialogue options will appear. Completing the scene grants a unique cutscene but causes strong disapproval from Wyll if he is in the party.

The romance does not lock the player out of other companion romances in the same way a full companion romance would. It is treated more like a one-night encounter. Mizora does not become a permanent companion or have an approval system like the origin characters.

Mizora Notes and Tips

  • Mizora has Zariel's Protection, which makes her effectively unkillable in almost every situation in the game.
  • The only exception is in Act 2, inside the Mind Flayer Colony:
    • If you destroy the pod she is trapped in (or attack her while she's inside it), you can kill her.
    • However, doing this also kills/damns Wyll — he gets turned into a lemure and is sent to Avernus. This is considered a very bad outcome for Wyll’s questline.
  • Killing Mizora inside the Mind Flayer Colony pod in Act 2 also kills Wyll. This is a hard fail state for his questline.
  • Karlach and Mizora know each other from their time in Avernus. Karlach has extremely negative reactions whenever Mizora appears.
  • Origin Wyll playthroughs have extra dialogue and internal conflict regarding the pact and Mizora's treatment of him.
  • Even after breaking the pact, Mizora can still appear in the final battle in several endings and will fight on the party's side.
  • Her human form is not accessible in the vanilla game. Players interested in seeing it must use mods.
  • Mizora never truly becomes an ally or enemy in the traditional sense. She always prioritizes Zariel's interests while maintaining the appearance of being helpful to her pets.

So, I'm gonna kill Mizora this time, don't care about Wyll, however it's silly that Wyll dies cuz I don't have a pact with her, Wyll does. Wyll's not in my party. Also I didn't mention breaking the pact at the camp conversation either. I get the "gamey" reasons for this, but still. Mizora should have to adhere to the fine print also.

Mannnn why she so evil dude. In terms of physical appearance, I find her to be the hottest. Appearance, story, and personality wise all together I still love Karlach and Shadowheart above all others.

          >She offers another bargain. Your two options are the following:
          >If the Grand Duke is alive, then she will reveal his location, but Wyll will pledge his soul to Mizora and the archdevil Zariel. (If the Grand Duke is dead at this point then Mizora will resurrect him.)
          >The second option is to break his pact, but Wyll's father will die by his enemy's hand.

I don't understand why there isn't another option of "we're good with breaking Wyll's pact in 6 months like you promised in return for saving your ass, and you get nothing else."

Like why would Wyll suddenly be in a hurry to break his pact in exchange for his dad dying to an enemy, when he seemed fine with the 6 months term before?

Fun to admit, but no matter she is a side character for Wyll`s storyline - I like her more than him. Maybe thats because I like playing not only LG alingment characters and want a bit more party members who are not saint (Minthara is awesome, still waiting forvard for fixes and more content for her, like Astarion as well). Maybe because her teasing and irony is more amusing for me than Wyll`s character who seemed to me quite dull and boring. Maybe the reason is that Im a fan of horned women as well as Eskel in Witcher 3. Nevermind. I really missed the option of choosing between them: Choose your destiny: Gloomy but brave and righteous warlock or cheeky but manipulative and not too honest sorceress. Thats just my opinion, its not supposed to be popular.

I wish her as a companion. At least in late game from the moment she stayed in the camp. There is no companion sorcerer in game and she is quite nice. Don’t feel why I can take Minsc (the only ranger companion) in the last quarter of the game but can’t take her. Btw about her romance - I understand and approve the comments below about making her full romancable, but to be honest - we need to meet her more often at the first half of the game to make a complete and proper relationship. Pity we have lack of it, her trolling the party could be fun enough.

"If you chose answer 3 & 5 - Wyll, Lae'zel, Gale and Shadowheart will approve"
I only get the notification that Wyll approves??

after the tough , near impossible choice, gale reacted to it by telling me we shouldn't have given up karsus's crown for the oriphic hammer, I hadn't even spoken to Raphael since last light so I think this is a bug

for the final choice on options 3 and 5, astarion and karlach do not get approval points, unlike the rest of your party, and wyll and lae'zel both get it even when not in your party, so as long as you have gale and shadowheart in you're good i think
