DO NOT SACRIFICE GALE - He becomes unresurrectable and will explode after 2 days, ending the game. Lost a solid 6 hours of gameplay by doing this :)

To think there's a whole-ass questline with branching paths hidden in a VERY optional path which I missed in my first 3 playthroughs because it's acessed by a ladder of rocks nearly hidden by your camera.

What a game...
You can make a pact with him, you can be his partner, you can become part of his church and get his blessing, you can kill him and become a new fiery-semi-god, you can skip it because it's just a tiny location in a hidden part of hidden Underdark, this game just crazy
The blessed weapon, new status, become a fairy or permanent passive skills if you will sacrifice one of your companions what a game...
Have one follower with good sleight of hand and invisibility (through spell, scroll, potion, etc.) ungroup from the party and sit back at the entrance, with another character start the dialogue, now the detached party member casts invis and pickpockets the sickle from Pooldripp and walks away.
Now the character in the dialogue should succeed the arcana check dialogue, then say you have another offer, now succeed the DC20 persuasion check (I have one life... ) and your whole party will gain the buff.
