Western Underground Fort is a Location in Elden Ring Nightreign. The Western Underground Fort is one of the points of interest that will be added in Forsaken Hollows DLC. These fortresses are usually located next to, if not close to, the Temples present during the Great Hollow Shifting Earth event.
Western Underground Fort Information in Nightreign
These fortresses are located in the western half of the Great Hollow, usually next to a Temple. Players will be able to find some enemies along with bosses to defeat and earn runes and XP from. Entering the location will cause players to lose half of their health. This can be countered by obtaining the Favor of the Great Hollow status effect. At the bottom of the centermost building in the Western Underground Fort, players can break the crystal to reveal the Spiritstream that they can use to reach the upper levels. The upper levels reveal the locations of the bosses, like Godskin Duo at the center. The ramparts of the fort also contain chests that can drop Legendary and Rare items.
The Western Underground Fort also features a building on the northwest side, where players can find a chest that has a guaranteed drop of Talismans. To find the chest, use the Spiritstream at the base while facing the east to reach the ramparts. Follow the path going southwest, but beware of the mini bosses and powerful enemies gathered here. Trace this path until the building comes into view. Go inside and climb the boulder suspended in the air by large chains in the middle, then jump on the beams on the right side. Look for the hallway with a faint light to find this chest with Talismans.

- There's a Waygate on the exterior of the Western Underground Fort that you can use to reach the opposite side of the map, that will take you to the exterior of the Eastern Underground Fort, and vice-versa.
AnonymousHow do you unlock the blue barrier in the middle of that castle ?
For those who don't know you can break the barrier in the middle of the castle on the ground where you fight the godskin duo or hippo by going into the sewers and reaching a circular room where there's a seal you can break by interacting with it. It also creates a spiritspring to make getting around easier and opens a doorway in front of it to a formidable enemy like a magma wyrm or black blade kindred from what I've seen. It's easy to get to if you switch your map to underground like when you're in a tunnel or the crater.
