soulblood song skill nightreign wiki guide
Unleash forbidden blood chant to brand nearby foes with blood sigils.

Brands foes with short-lived Blood Sigils that increase damage taken and restore the HP and FP of caster.

Soulblood Song is a Nightfarer Skill in Nightreign. Soulblood Song is an ultimate art exclusive to the Recluse Nightfarer. Elden Ring Nightreign features skills for each Nightfarer or Class, each having one Passive Ability, Character Skill, and Ultimate Art.

Elden Ring Nightreign Soulblood Song Skill Information

  • Nightfarer: Recluse
  • Skill Type: Ultimate Art
  • Soulblood Song will mark all nearby enemies with a mark that lasts ~16 seconds. When yourself or allies strike any of these enemies (including Bosses), they will regain HP and FP, making this a very good support Ultimate. Note that it does have a limited range and will not hit enemies or Bosses that are too far away.
  • This Ultimate has a very long animation making it difficult to use sometimes, but it does have i-frames when casting, so you can use it to avoid high damage attacks.
  • The Soulblood Seal deals about 114~ damage to all nearby enemies within range. This same attack can also be used to revive teammates from near-death states with only 1 pip (the purple meter that will appear next to their characters when downed).
  • Enemies with the Soulblood Song mark will receive around a 14% increase from Magic Damage and a 15% increase from Physical Damage. Physical Damage is attacks inflicted using weapons directly.

Elden Ring Nightreign Soulblood Song Notes & Tips

  • Regarding the Relic effect "Suffer blood loss and increase attack power upon Art activation" - the buff lasts for 24 more seconds, coming to a total duration of 40 seconds. You will receive around 16% Damage Boost upon activating the Relic, which will also increase the HP and FP regained with each attack.
    • The blood loss is always 12.5% of your max HP + 100. Triggering blood loss this way will reset any Bleed buildup, and trigger any "blood loss in vicinity" bonus passives.
  • After marking an enemy with the Ultimate Art, immediately unleash a continuous-fire spell like Crystal Torrent or Comet Azur. You will continuously regain the FP you're spending to continue the spell, keeping a constant stream of damage until you stop.
  • The Ultimate Arts gauge fills up over time, but defeating enemies and Bosses speeds up the rate at which it fills, rewarding aggression with shorter cooldowns.
  • Regarding the Relic effect "Ultimate Art Raises Max HP" -- The bonus is +50% HP and max HP remains increased for 30s. However, after a recent patch, if the player's HP has not been reduced to less than 85% after the 30s has expired, the max HP buff will remain active indefinitely.
    • This effect also has a powerful interaction with the weapon passive "Improved Damage Negation at Full HP". When that passive is active, it is extremely likely for a single hit in Deep of Night to leave the player at full HP again (when the max HP buff is removed). This allows the passive to activate twice without healing.

Use this, and then spamming shattering crystal is exceptionally broken. Fantastic to delete large bosses such as adel

If you're gonna main a caster it's always helpful to also play a melee frontliner, 'cause stuff you can only learn from being right in an enemy's face can still be applied to ranged characters. Playing Executor a ton can give a sixth sense for knowing when a boss is gonna stagger - apply that to Recluse, ult right before a boss is posture broken = giving the team a big buff to damage + free healing + fp to spam harder hitting moves/spells, all without fear of retaliation. It's more consistent to time than you'd think, once you get a feel for it.

I feel like Scholar's Ult Communion finally gives us what Recluse's Ult is MEANT to feel like when you use it — It's a big AoE with damage spread out to everyone that helps to restore your team to rally them forward to turn the tide and keep pushing the fight.

However… Scholar's Ult actually does that effectively, whereas Recluse's requires you to make follow-up attacks really fast to benefit from it, and it doesn't get a DoT option like Scholar does. If you get staggered at all while casting a spell, or the boss decides to rotate and catch you with a hit as you exit the Ult animation, you miss out on it completely, especially if your team has to pivot attention to res you. The struggle is that Soulblood Song and its duration is almost entirely balanced around the theoretically perfect Comet Azure cast utterly deleting a boss, so it's tough to really make it impactful without becoming stupidly OP, and even moreso now without feeling like it's just gonna chase what Communion already does better.

"This is the most mind-blowing ultimate when fighting nightlords because all allies benefit from it." - 7 Metroid(recluse master player).

Kind of wish it lasted longer. 12 seconds feels way too short, but I also get why they didn't make it super long. Health AND FP regen on hit is unbelievably busted, but oftentimes what happens is the Recluse pops the ult and then the boss jumps to the other end of the arena and we have to chase him down. Maybe increase the time to 20 seconds? 30 seconds is way too long, but 12 is too short. It only doing up to one pip is fine, and the damage is pretty low for what it's worth, but if you're that desperate for damage on RECLUSE of all classes, you got more problems than just DPS.

Nope the bloodloss does not increase the Art duration, tested it just in the training ground, wonder where did this info come from

Also has the passive effect of making you take more blood damage. Stop leaving out information thats in the game.

Kinda wish it was a bit better. Not necessarily in terms of damage, but it could be interesting if it lasted a decent amount of time longer, or frankly, if it was a bit better at clearing fallen allies's reviving bars. It does the trick at one bar, but not much besides that.
