Demon's Plating is a Status Effect in Nightreign. Status Effects in general are ailments or buffs that can be applied to either the player's character or to enemies, and depending on the effect, they can be either beneficial or detrimental to whoever is affected. When a Status Effect is repeatedly applied, it builds up a meter that, once filled, can trigger further consequences for the affected target, potentially leading to their defeat. Certain equipment and items are available that can help resist or cure these effects entirely.

AnonymousDo you lose the buff if you kill the LIbra after breaking curse?

AnonymousDoes it stack multiplicatively? The wiki isn’t that clear even though it states the percentage increase per 10,000 runes and caps.

AnonymousOnce had >700 AR on each hand (+1400) double colossals, melted the hardmode centaur

AnonymousDoes this work with sorcerers and incantations? Anyone confirmed? Because I haven’t seen an increase in attack power to a seal unlike regular weapons

AnonymousShame that attacking the non-hostile merchant (that doesn't curse you) and killing him doesn't give this buff

AnonymousBusted as fk, Literally 4 Shotted fulghor, while not Everdark but on level 9

AnonymousI spent my souls because it wasn't showing any visible affect on catalyst scaling. Does it? Or is it something you can only notice from dmg dealt.

Anonymouswith 141k runes, my katana went from 203 (training ground) to 298

AnonymousPlayed a game with a friend. He took the symbol of Avaris and then refused to level up because of this buff which I thought was crazy. We were all level 15 for the nightlord but he was level 11 with over half a million runes on him and he absolutely vaporised the nightlord. Crazy buff if you know how to abuse it.

Anonymous4% per 10k for 0-50k, 2% per 10k for 50k-100k, .7% per 10k for 100k+

If you get Demon's Plating, STOP LEVELLING PAST LVL 12.
At lvl 12, you are effectively at your character's soft caps. Every further level will give you less and less. Instead, just save up your runes because taking the extra 93% damage buff by holding onto 1,000,000 runes is WAY better than the 13% you get from levelling up
