Darkness is an Incantation in Nightreign. Magic Spells in Nightreign are slightly different than in Elden Ring, a total of two Incantations are preloaded to a Sacred Seal and no longer have Stat Requirements. You cast these Incantations by pressing R1 or R2 on your controller.
Weapons in Nightreign are randomly acquired from Chests and from Field Boss drops, and will be different each run. Note that since there are no Stats in Nightreign you can mix Sorceries and Incantations effectively, and you can even equip two Staves or a Staff and Seal in either hand and cast up to 4 spells without weapon swapping.
Incantation of the Two Fingers' servants, who once served as the assassins of the Roundtable Hold.
Creates a veil of darkness that conceals the caster. This incantation can be cast while in motion or crouching.
The assassins were themselves once Tarnished who had strayed from guidance, and they pursued their duty in the darkness that is without grace.

- Note that upgrading the weapon you are casting with will improve the damage of its Spells
- Apart from certain weapons having a preload of spells, weapons now have a passive benefit that applies regardless of which hand or slot you put it in, as long as it is equipped, and you can equip up to 6 weapons at once.

AnonymousBosses are basically made immune to this, because a blind enemy has the same AI as duchess going invisible.
If only they improved stuff like this for nightreign but I guess they are going to keep all the 'utility' spells exactly the same.

This doesn't do anything other than obscuring your vision against the Nightlords. Top that on Rejection and you got yourself the most useless Seal ever possible.
worst incant ever....but i like spamming it right after killing a nightlord, so it can stay.
