Beast Regent Serosh | Elden Ring Wiki
Beast Regent Serosh (also known as Lord of Beasts) is a Lore character in Elden Ring. He and Godfrey appear in the opening cinematic, and later reappear during Godfrey, First Elden Lord's fight where he is killed by the latter.
Beast Regent Serosh Lore
Godfrey was a ferocious warrior, and was very likely a highlander. Highlanders are known to be hunters of bears; to them, there is no act more glorious than the subjugation of a savage beast. When Godfrey vowed to become a lord, he took the Beast Regent Serosh upon on his back to suppress the ceaseless lust for battle that raged within. Serosh has black nails and golden fur, and was often depicted as an emblem of the Golden Lineage, though a symbol of glory now past. Serosh was an aged counselor who served to remind warriors not to succumb to the arousal of battle. Fight with passion, but become not its prisoner. From his youngest years, Radahn was naturally captivated by the Lord of the Battlefield, and wore armor inspired by the golden lion Serosh. Serosh followed Godfrey and his army across the sea after their banishment and inferably took part in the Long March of the Tarnished. After this, Godfrey divested himself of kingship, becoming a simple warrior once more. Under the alias of Hoarah Loux, Godfrey was a badlands chieftain of great renown, inspiring his loyal warriors to wield axes and shed excess adornment as he had. In the game's opening cinematic, Hoarah Loux and Serosh are both shown to have been killed at some indeterminate point, but are getting called back by the guidance of grace as the Tarnished were beckoned back to the Land's Between. Their full return wouldn't be complete until the end of the game though, where in an effort to fight as he true self, Godfrey lets go of and kills Serosh in order to regain his former bloodlust.
Beast Regent Serosh Notes & Trivia
- There is some semblance between Serosh and the Elder Lion enemies encountered throughout the game, but ultimately nothing concrete is given about them.
