One of the things that might confuse players early on in Saros is some side path rooms, where players can spot containers or audio logs on the other side, but have no way to reach them. Since there are no grapple points or Jump Network Pads in these rooms, players might have noticed a faint white line leading toward the container. This is tied to the Eclipse Threads ability, which players can unlock and use to traverse larger distances. Here’s how you can unlock it and what it leads to in Saros.

How to Unlock Eclipse Threads in Saros
As Eclipse Threads is a story-related ability, players will unlock it automatically as they progress further into the game. However, for players who want more specific details on the location of this power-up, you first have to complete the fourth biome by defeating the boss, Legion. This is one of the easier bosses in the game, but it is recommended to bring a weapon with Auto-Hit so your weapon can determine which of the flying enemies is the main boss.
Once the boss is down, and you complete a few story segments back at the Passage, you will be able to travel using the World Dial to the entrance of the next biome, Desecrated Fortress. Aside from the Honorarium Sigils that you will start finding in this biome, after clearing a few rooms, you will spot the Eclipse device.
There is no path forward, so your only option is to activate the device, and upon doing so, a small yellow key item will appear ahead. While Arjun is talking to his suit, grab the shiny object from the ground, which unlocks the Eclipse Threads ability. This will let you traverse large rooms by simply pressing the L1 button, which you use for dashing.
With Eclipse Threads unlocked, you can now revisit previous biomes and open certain doors or containers that were inaccessible due to Arjun not having this ability. In Ancient Depths, the large room where you have to activate the Eclipse device and check out the two rooms on the sides of the vault has an Eclipse Thread that takes you up to a Nightmare Strand. Since these are linked to a Gold trophy, it is worth completing them at least once in every biome.
It is important to note that the Eclipse Threads' ability can only be used while an Eclipse is active.
