Bleach: The Most Dangerous Characters At The End Of The Thousand-Year Blood War

One reason Bleach became one of the most popular shonen series is that it has many memorable characters with unique abilities. Many of Bleach's most dangerous characters died during the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, including Yhwach and most of the Sternritter, but several extremely dangerous characters survived. Many of these characters are villains, but some "good guys" are just as dangerous.

Some of the most dangerous Bleach characters remaining at the end of the TYBW are Quincy who survived the conflict, while a popular Arrancar who thrives on destruction is also still around. Ironically, many of Bleach's remaining dangerous characters are Soul Reapers who will kill without hesitation. Two of these Soul Reapers could wipe out the Gotei 13 if they so desired.

8 Giselle Gewelle Still Controls Her Zombified Friends Like Deadly Puppets

As a former Sternritter, Giselle's spiritual energy is on par with a Soul Reaper Captain. She was part of the group that invaded the Soul King's Palace to kill Yhwach after he tried sacrificing them through the Auswahlen technique. It looked like Yhwach killed Giselle, but the Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World light novel revealed that she survived and currently serves as the new Quincy leader.

Giselle likely survived because of The Zombie, a Schrift that grants immortality. It also allows her to turn others into zombified puppets if her blood splatters on them. She turned dozens of Soul Reapers into zombies, including a few Captains and a Lieutenant. The Zombie is weaker than it once was, but it can still turn others into zombies. If another conflict ever erupts, this sadistic Quincy can make an army out of the opposing side's forces.

7 Liltotto Lamperd May Lead the Quincy, but Her Voracious Appetite Has Not Disappeared

Liltotto is a perfect example of how appearances can be deceiving. While she looks harmless and lazy, she is actually extremely dangerous. She was one of the few Sternritter who survived Yhwach's Auswahlen, and she attempted to kill him in the Soul King's Palace. Not only did Liltotto survive Yhwach's attack, but she escaped and became the leader of the remaining Quincy after his defeat.

Liltotto wields The Glutton, a Schrift that leaves her in a constant state of hunger. She can extend her jaw until it becomes a gaping maw with razor-sharp teeth. Thanks to this Schrift, Liltotto can eat whatever she wants, including Soul Reapers and other Sternritter. She is not psychotic or overly vindictive, but Liltotto can devour anyone at any time in an attempt to satiate her hunger, and she will gladly spit them out if they do not taste good.

6 Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez Is a Former Espada Who Does Not Mind Killing

Grimmjow was the 6th Espada, meaning he was one of the strongest Arrancar in Aizen's army. Many fans assumed Grimmjow died when Nnoitra almost cut him in half with a sneak attack, but he survived and continued training. He saved Urahara, Chad, and Orihime from Quilge of the Sternritter and agreed to help stop Yhwach so he could fight Ichigo again. In doing so. Grimmjow dealt the finishing blow to Askin Nakk Le Varr, one of Yhwach's Royal Guards.

When Grimmjow releases his Zanpakuto, his speed and strength increase significantly, to the point that he can evenly clash with Ichigo's high-speed Bankai. After the war, Grimmjow returns to Hueco Mundo, but he wanders around looking for strong opponents. Grimmjow represents death brought about by destruction, and he will gladly destroy anything or kill anyone who stands in his way without hesitation.

5 Shinji Hirako Can Wipe Out the Entire Gotei 13 Whenever He Wants

Shinji was reinstated as the Captain of Squad 5 shortly after Aizen's defeat. His Bankai was never revealed in the original manga, but it was used in Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World. For those who did not read the light novel, it came as a shock when Shinji activated his Bankai against a group of Quincy Soldats in the anime. Sakashima Yokoshima Happofusagari is one of the most broken Bankai in Bleach, and it is so dangerous that Shinji is normally not allowed to use it within the Seireitei.

Shinji's Bankai releases a pink mist, and everyone exposed to it has their perception of ally and enemy reversed. In fairness, this Bankai is useless in a one-on-one fight, but if it had been used at the beginning of the war, Shinji could have forced the entire Quincy army to destroy itself. Shinji can wipe out thousands of enemies with this Bankai, and if he ever turns against the Soul Society, he can use his Bankai to destroy the entire Gotei 13 by making every squad slaughter each other.

4 Mayuri Kurotsuchi Is Still the Soul Society's Unethical Mad Scientist

Mayuri is the Captain of Squad 12 and the current president of the Technological Development Department. He may not be the strongest Gotei 13 Captain in terms of raw power and overall combat skills, but he still managed to defeat Pernida, who was basically a God since it was the sentient left arm of the Soul King. Unlike other Soul Reapers, he personally upgrades his Zanpakuto to make it more effective in combat.

Mayuri is the definition of a mad scientist because he gladly performs torturous experiments on living subjects in the name of research. He even creates living defensive structures that cry out in agony when they block attacks for him. He did not need to make them living things, but he did. Mayuri has no issue stabbing fellow Captains or killing lower-ranking Soul Reapers, and he will kill thousands of innocent souls within the Soul Society if data shows there is a soul imbalance.

3 Kenpachi Zaraki Can Now Become a Mindless Berserker at Any Time

Kenpachi Zaraki was named one of the Five Special War Powers because of his immense combat ability, which is understandable given his monstrous spiritual energy and swordsmanship. He is still the Captain of Squad 11 after the war. Kenpachi loves fighting powerful opponents, to the point that he will fight his fellow Captains to the death without a second thought.

Kenpachi was always a threat, but after unlocking his Bankai, that threat level has reached new heights. Only a few anime characters can beat Kenpachi's Bankai because it turns him into a monster capable of cutting God-tier beings in half with a single slash. Kenpachi can now become an Oni-like berserker at any time. As Byakuya mentioned, this version of Kenpachi has no concept of friend or foe, which means he will cut down anyone in his field of vision.

2 Sosuke Aizen Can Still Tear People Apart Using His Immense Spiritual Pressure

Aizen was the primary villain for most of Bleach's story because he wanted to kill and replace the Soul King. Yhwach named him one of the Special War Powers because of his immeasurable spiritual energy. When the war began, Aizen was in the middle of a 20,000-year prison sentence, and although he played a critical role in Yhwach's defeat, he was sent back to Muken afterward, where he remains imprisoned.

Aizen's spiritual energy is so great that most spiritual beings are torn apart by simply being near him. During the final battle, Aizen fought on par with Yhwach while 16 of the 19 seals on his body were still active. Aizen can vaporize sections of the Seireitei with high-level Kido, and he can easily overpower and cut down multiple Captains in minutes. Immortality aside, Aizen can place others under a form of complete hypnosis, which means he can attack someone from anywhere, as anyone, at any time.

1 Ichibe Hyosube Is Still the Ruthless Leader of Squad Zero

Ichibe is the commander of Squad Zero, potentially making him the strongest Soul Reaper of all time. Yhwach named him one of the Special War Powers because of his experience and knowledge. Most of the time, Ichibe comes across as an upbeat and friendly man with a wide grin, but when he intends to kill someone, he becomes the most ruthless Soul Reaper in the series.

Ichibe can vaporize most beings with ancient Kido techniques, and his Zanpakuto has the power to chip away at someone's power with each strike. It can also nullify someone's abilities. His Bankai can rename someone and crush them like a bug. If he wanted to, Ichibe could drink some ink, summon a Mausoleum, and erase someone to the point that they can never be reincarnated.
