Stats, or Attributes as they are called in Saros, play an important part in every run. These attributes can be increased throughout the game by either unlocking certain node upgrades in the Armor Matrix or finding Artifacts. Artifacts can affect any attribute and come with different passive and negative effects on top of the stat increases they provide. If you are confused about any of the stats or how Attribute Volatility works, the Saros guide below has you covered.
Saros: All Text Logs
Here are all the text logs and the biomes where players can find them in Saros.
All Stats & Attributes in Saros
Resilience
Resilience is tied to your Armor Integrity. The more you increase this stat, the higher your health will be, allowing you to tank more hits and take more damage before going down. Increasing Resilience should be your primary focus, especially early on, so that you can clear entire biomes without much trouble.
Some enemies can also drop Attribute shards that increase a specific stat, so be sure to pick these up before proceeding to the next room.
Command
Command is tied to your Power. Increasing the Command stat raises your overall Power, which in turn allows you to use more Power Moves and keep your Soltari Shield active for a longer duration before running out of Power. Whether you should prioritize this stat over Drive or Resilience depends on where you are in the game. In the endgame, you do not need as much health, so upgrading Command becomes more important to deal large amounts of damage with consistent Power Moves.
Drive
Lastly, Drive is the third attribute and one of the most important. Having more Drive reduces the Lucenite required to reach the next Proficiency level. Since higher-proficiency Main and Power weapons have extra traits and increased stats, it is best to focus on upgrading Drive throughout the early biomes in the game.
What Is Attribute Volatility in Saros?
As you gather more and more artifacts of the same attribute, one stat will increase more than the others to a point where it gets close to reaching its cap. When this happens, the next artifacts will have a small, moderate, or high chance of triggering Attribute Volatility. When triggered, you can still take more artifacts of the same stat, but you will now gain a negative effect that lasts for the remainder of the run.
Upon hitting Volatility, the attributes of Resilience, Command, and Drive change to Arrogance, Ignorance, and Negligence. Here’s what their negative effects do:
- Arrogance: Hostiles' health is not visible.
- Ignorance: Corruption Effects are not visible.
- Negligence: All Lucenite is lost on death.
Once you completely max out your Armor Matrix, in almost all of your following runs, the next artifact you find will have a chance of triggering Volatility due to your high stats.
