Saros rewards players for exploring side paths by giving them items such as keys or Aether used for healing, as well as gear like weapons and artifacts. Acquiring weapons of a higher proficiency level makes subsequent runs much easier, and players might find audio or text logs along the way that explain more about what happened to the previous colonists.
While exploring these side paths, you might come across an orange wall that is different from the rest. The game explains very early on how to break them, but players may have missed it in Saros.

How to Break Orange Walls in Saros
Your first encounter with an orange wall will most likely be in Shattered Rise when you come across a side path that has a statue up ahead and two walkways on the sides next to some pillars. In one corner of this room, you will find your orange wall. If you are like most players and don’t know what to do, you might have tried using your weapon’s primary and alt fire or melee to see if it can be broken that way. However, that is not the answer.
You might also think it’s an ability that unlocks later in the game, but that’s not the case, as the solution is much simpler and available right away. All you have to do is use a Power Move with your Power Weapon. Since you are at the start of the game, you will have Prominence, and you can hold down L2 and press R2 to unleash a powerful blast capable of breaking the orange part of the wall.
Performing a Power Move requires you to charge your bar, which can be done by dealing damage to enemies or, more easily, by absorbing blue projectiles. If you don’t have a full bar of Power, try looking around previous rooms or the area near the side path for enemies or mechanisms launching projectiles that you can absorb to charge up and break the wall.
Once the wall is open, you can find various items behind it. These can include collectibles like audio logs, white containers carrying weapons or artifacts, or even Lucenite, which you will need to unlock more upgrades in the Armor Matrix.
An ability that unlocks later in the game, which allows you to get past the Yellow Barriers, can also be used on these orange walls instead of the Power Move.
