Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 brings Sonic to the island, complete with his very own POI ripped straight from the games. While players can also find Sonic as his very own Sprite, you can also become Sonic himself with the Sonic Power Sneakers. The Sonic Power Sneakers are a mobility item that you can often find it through the same ways as any other item. Since the item is of Epic Rarity, the best method to get it is via Chests or Rare Chests, with the item itself being rather common through this method. However, the item can in fact be found on the ground just as easily, albeit a little less common.

As for the Mythic Sonic Power Sneakers, however, they can only be dropped by defeating the Dr. Eggman Boss. Dr. Eggman always spawns at the Green Hill Zone POI and patrols around the area. Beating him will give you a chance of getting the Mythic Sonic Power Sneakers, the standard Epic Rarity version, along with a Mythic Midas' Masterpiece.

Sonic Power Sneakers Abilities & Effects

The Sonic Power Sneakers are primarily a mobility item that allow you to perform the classic Spin Dash from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games. Here's a rundown of its abilities:

  • Spin Dash: Press the shoot button when on the ground to activate Spin Dash and roll along the ground. Hold to charge it up upon activation for a bigger boost in speed.
  • Spin Attack: Press or hold the shoot button to perform a Spin Attack, launching you in the direction you are looking. Works best for launching upwards, as it deals low damage to players and structures.
  • Sonic Speed (Mythic Only): Sprint regularly with the Sonic Power Sneakers equipped to perform Sonic Speed, boosting your movement speed and giving you a higher jump. Consumes stamina.

The Sonic Power Sneakers feature their own set of stamina for the Spin Dash ability, and when it runs out, the item enters a 4-second cooldown. You can also cancel Spin Dash by swapping items. The Sonic Power Sneakers also have limited durability, which will destroy the item once fully depleted.
