How to Open the Locked Prison Cell in Fortnite
Head to Sinister Strip, and you can find the prison building in the north area, marked on the map above. Once you're inside, you can head down the stairs to find the locked cell, which is guarded with deadly electricity on the bars, but here's how to deactivate it:
Deactivate the North Prison Security Grid
- Face the locked cell, and you'll find a red wire on the left wall that will lead you down into the basement area.
- Follow this wire into the sewer pipes to the left, then take your first right, then the next immediate right, and you'll find a vent that you can crawl through.
- At the end of the vent is an electrical grid that you can interact with to shut down the first half of the prison cell.
Deactivate the South Prison Security Grid
- Return to the locked cell, and you'll find a red wire on the right wall that you can follow down into the basement.
- Take the first left past the gnome, and you'll find a vent that you can enter to find yet another electrical grid to interact with.
- Now that both electrical grids have been shut down, you can open the cell!
Once you open the cell door, you'll get the "Path of Least Resistance" Accolade, which grants 1,000 XP.
What's Inside the Locked Prison Cell in Fortnite?
- Within the locked prison cell, you'll find x2 Rare Chests, x2 Regular Chests, and x1 Sprite.
The Rare Chests are the main reason to unlock the cell, as not only is this a quick activity you can do at the start of each match (especially since most players won't know about it), but it's also the most common way you can get the Limitless Seven Sliders to drop, which grants you infinite slides and durability!
You can also get the Epic Vault Key from a Rare Chest, which allows you to access the Dark Voyager's Vault in Sinister Strip, which has even more loot!
