Which Starting Sprite Should You Choose in Fortnite Runners

When first loading up Fortnite Runners, players will be given a choice to pick one of three Starting Sprites to add to their Sprite Collection right away. This is similar to the way players had to pick between Team Ice King and Foundation last season, only this time, players are not locked in their decision to add more Sprites.

There are three total Sprites, and which one you pick will simply come down to which effect you will want to make use of right away in your Fortnite matches. These Sprite options and their affects are as follows:

  • Water Sprite: Heal when standing in water
  • Fire Sprite: Create a fiery burst when dealing damage
  • Earth Sprite: Have a chance of receiving extra rare items when opening Chests

Ultimately, your Starting Sprite in Fortnite Runners is not the most important choice in the world, as all three options available are the most common Sprites on the Fortnite Island. This means that you can easily secure the ones you missed out on during the course of the season by extracting them in game.

You can also start your match with a Sprite equipped. To do so, select the 'Equip a Sprite' option in the lobby and choose which Sprite in your collection you would like to add. As you extract more Sprites during the season, you will be able to choose more. Your first Sprite is free. However, to equip more Sprites in future matches, you will need to spend Sprite Dust.
