Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is here, and with it comes a blast of new content to uncover. With the season centering on Sprites, it's only natural that players will need to collect them. However, doing so this season is a little different from the past. Fortnite Runners' key word for the season is Exfil, and that is certainly the case when it comes to expanding your Sprite Collection, as you must extract Sprites to earn a bunch of rewards. Here is how to extract Sprites in Fortnite Runners.

How to Extract Sprites in Fortnite Runners

Sprites are pretty common around the Fortnite Island, often found wandering around or within Sprite Chests. However, once you snag a Sprite, you will have the option to extract it. To extract a Sprite, first locate an Extraction Site. These can be found in fixed locations permanently marked on the map, and while they are locked at the start of the game, they will quickly unlock following the first circle.

Once at an Extraction Site, head to the control panel to call in an Extraction Crate. During this time, the site will charge up, and you will need to wait for the crate to spawn in. This takes a few moments and alerts other players nearby, so throw down some builds or bunkers for cover.

Once the charging process has been complete, the Extraction Crate will drop in. Here, head on over to it and interact with the crate to place down your secured Sprites inside. After a short time, the crate will close, extracting the Sprites, adding them to your Sprite Collection, and awarding you with Sprite Dust.

Alternatively, if you want a more stealthy way of Extracting Sprites, you can use the Portable Extractor (purchased at Sprite Dust Service terminals) or earn a Victory Royale, as winning the game will automatically extract your Sprite.

Why Should You Extract Sprites in Fortnite Runners?

The main reason players will want to extract Sprites in Fortnite is to secure them in their Sprite Collection, which in turn unlocks those Sprites for use at the start of matches, provided they have enough Sprite Dust. However, there are a few additional reasons why you will want to extract Sprites. These are as follows:

  • Sprite Dust: Extracted Sprites award Sprite Dust, which can be spent at Sprite Stations or used to summon Sprites at the start of a match via the Sprite Collection page.
  • Completing the Sprite Collection and Assemble the Guardian Quests: Extracting Sprites is required for certain quests and XP rewards, while also allowing players to unlock additional styles for The Guardian Battle Pass skin.
