Fortnite Runners (Chapter 7 Season 3) takes plenty of inspiration from Steal a Brainrot and extraction shooters for this new season, as you can collect an abundance of incredibly rare Sprites in Battle Royale and extract them so you can safely store them in your collection.

However, other players can eliminate you and steal your equipped Sprite. Thankfully, this isn't permanent, and losing a Sprite in a match doesn't mean it's gone forever. In fact, you can quite easily get it back, so you should never fear bringing a rare Sprite into the match, and here's why.

Looking for extremely rare sprites in Fortnite? You might have an easier time getting them via trading, and you can find out how to do that here!

How to Get Back Lost Sprites in Fortnite

If you lost a Sprite, then it's not gone forever. As long as the Sprite was already part of your collection, you can return to the lobby and enter the "Sprites" tab (which is just to the left of the "Shop" icon). From here, you can view your Sprite collection.

While you are viewing your Sprite collection, you can scroll down to find the grayed-out Sprite that you lost in a previous match. When selecting the grayed-out Sprite, you can click the "Summon" icon and purchase your lost Sprite for Sprite Dust.

If you're short on Sprite Dust, then we have a guide on all the ways you can effectively farm it right here!

The amount of Sprite Dust needed depends on the rarity of the Sprite itself:

Sprite Rarity

Sprite Dust Cost

Rare

100

Special Rare

4,000

Epic

3,000

Special Epic

6,000

Legendary

5,000

Special Legendary

10,000

Mythic

7,500

Special Mythic

15,000

If you purchase your Sprite back, you will still have a Mastery Rank, but it will reset that specific Sprite back to Level 1.

The data values above can also change depending on how many times you purchase the same Sprite.
