The Punk Sprite in Fortnite Runners has the description "Possibly nothing... or infinitely something." This isn't exactly helpful when trying to figure out what the Punk Sprite does, especially when there are so many other useful Sprites that tell you directly what they can do. However, we know what it does!
The Punk Sprite has a randomized chance to give you infinite ammo, but that's not the only thing it can do. Plus, you can increase the chances of this Sprite doing something useful by reading the guide below, which includes details on what it does and how to get it!
Fortnite: How to Get Lost Sprites
Were you eliminated in Fortnite and lost your active Sprite? Don't worry, you can get them back without much trouble, and here's how!
What Does the Punk Sprite Do in Fortnite?
The Punk Sprite doesn't actually do anything until you get it to Level 5, and here's what it can do at its max level:
- Random chance to give you infinite ammo (reloading does not take from ammo reserves).
- Automatically reloads slowly from ammo reserves.
Level up the Punk Sprite, and you'll be provided with a chance of these randomized effects every time you attempt to reload. However, these randomized effects are completely RNG-based, so you might go an entire game without finding one.
The Punk Sprite is basically an RNG-Sprite, and you'll have to decide whether you want to take the gamble by equipping it for your next match, as its effects are far rarer (and in some cases not even useful). Personally, the Punk Sprite is in my collection, and I doubt I'll be taking it out.
How to Get the Punk Sprite in Fortnite
The Punk Sprite has a 3.5% (1 in 29) chance to drop from Sprite Chests, which are found randomly across the map and are noted for being black chests with crystals sticking out of them. However, that's not the only way you can get Punk Sprites...
