How to Get Schematics in Fortnite Save the World

Schematics in Fortnite Save the World are obtained through many of the same methods used to get Heroes, Survivors, and Defenders. They are most commonly awarded by completing quests and missions, though there are also ways to unlock them through luck or by purchasing them directly. Here are all the ways to get Schematics in Fortnite Save the World:

Complete missions and quests (check your Quest Log for those that reward Schematics)
Open Llamas (Upgrade Llamas, Super Melee Llamas, Super Trap Llamas, and Super Ranged Llamas are the best for higher rarity Schematics)
Purchase them with Gold from the Item Exchange

How to Level Up Schematics

To level up Schematics in Fortnite Save the World, players will first need to earn Schematic XP. This resource is awarded by completing missions and quests, and can also be obtained from opening Llamas or recycling unwanted Schematics. With your earned Schematic XP, you can level up Schematics to improve their stats by following these steps:

Head to the Armory and then select Schematics
Choose a Schematic and select the Upgrade/Inspect option
Press the Level Up option and choose how many levels to apply using your Schematic XP

How to Evolve Schematics (Unlock More Levels)

By default, all Schematics have a max level of 10. After reaching this cap, you can unlock further levels through the Evolution feature. To evolve a Schematic, first reach its max level, then select the View Evolution option in the Upgrade/Inspect menu. From here, you can evolve your Schematic using the following resources:

Schematic XP
Pure Drop of Rain
Schematic Manuals (earned by recycling Schematics or through the Collection Book)

How to Upgrade Schematic Rarity & Perks

Players can also upgrade their Schematic rarity, just like with Heroes. To do this, players must first complete the Plankerton Storm Shield Defense 2 mission. Once completed, the Perk Recombobulator will be unlocked for Schematics.

This system allows players to modify the perks on a Schematic by either replacing or upgrading them. Doing so requires RE-PERK and PERK-UP. Once unlocked, players can also increase the rarity of their weapon by following these steps:

Select Upgrade in the Upgrade/Inspect menu
Select Increase Rarity
Spend the required Flux to raise the Schematic’s rarity

How to Use Schematics to Craft Weapons & Traps in Fortnite Save the World

Schematics are items primarily used to craft ranged weapons, melee weapons, and traps in Fortnite Save the World. Once you have a Schematic for a particular item, you can craft it, with the item’s stats depending on the rarity and level of that Schematic.

To craft using Schematics, locate the item in the Crafting section of your Backpack, either in Homebase or during a mission, and select it. From here, choose Crafting Options, where you can select which tier you want to craft the item at. As you upgrade your Schematics, higher tiers will become available.

All Schematics require specific resources to craft. These can be scavenged during missions, earned as mission rewards, crafted using materials in the Ingredients section of your Backpack, or obtained by recycling weapons.
