Cheat Code Locators are a Legendary Gizmo that can be equipped and used to instantly find nearby Cheat Codes, which can then be used to grant you Sprites that you might not have. While a Cheat Code from the Cheat Code Locator doesn't guarantee a Sprite missing from your collection, it does provide you with a quick way to get a code if you can't find them naturally, so here's how they work and how you can get more.
How to Get Cheat Code Locators in Fortnite
You can purchase Cheat Code Locators for 1,500 Sprite Dust at the Sprite Extraction Site, but you are limited to just one purchase per day, with a daily reset at 10 AM EST. Cheat Code Locators can also be featured as rewards for Daily, Weekly, and Story Quests, but the Extraction Site is the most reliable method of obtaining a Cheat Code Locator.
You can also use the Lobby Hack Codes: SurviveTheNight & FindItChat to get x4 Cheat Code Locators! We have All Lobby Hack Codes posted here, and we'll update that guide with more as soon as they appear.
How to Use Cheat Code Locators in Fortnite
Once you have a Cheat Code Locator, hold Triangle/Y in-game to open your Gizmo Wheel. On the top-left of the wheel, you can select your Cheat Code Locator. Don't worry, these can't be stolen by other players, and they don't go away if you're eliminated!
To use a Cheat Code Locator, press R2/RT once you have it equipped. Now, look on your map or on your HUD, and you will be directed to a nearby Cheat Code. This can range in rarity, as I've managed to find a Rare Cheat Code and an Epic Cheat Code. There's also a very small chance that you'll get a Cheat Code for a Sprite you've yet to collect!
