Glintstone Staffs | Elden Ring Wiki

Glintstone Staves are a type of Weapon in Elden Ring. Glintstone Staves are used in Elden Ring to cast Sorceries, so if you want to use these Magic Spells then you will need to equip a Glintstone Staff. Most staves don't come with any Skills.

Glintstone Staves can be infused with a single Ash of War, Spinning Weapon. The Carian Regal Scepter has a unique Spinning Weapon skill variant.

Glintstone Staves cannot be greased, spell-buffed, or given new affinities.

While powerstancing staves, the spell you cast will scale off the Sorcery Scaling of the staff you're using to cast it, but any passive multipliers from the staff in the other hand will still apply to the spell. i.e. if you're using the Carian Regal Scepter (and its higher Sorcery Scaling) to cast Night Comet while using the Staff of Loss (passive boost to Night Comet) in the off-hand, the result is stronger than using the Staff of Loss alone to cast that spell.

Shadow of the Erdtree adds 2 new weapons to this category: Maternal Staff, and Staff of the Great Beyond.

These are the base values of the Glintstone Staves with minimum requirements, select the Max option for the max stat investments.

Max scaling done with 80 Intelligence at max level +25 or +10 (additional 80 investment for the Arcane/Faith scaling Staves). Note that the Meteorite Staff cannot be upgraded.

Notes & Trivia about Glintstone Staves in Elden Ring

• Shadow of the Erdtree added a new Thrusting Sword, the Carian Sorcery Sword, which can also be used to cast sorceries.
• There has been debate as to whether Staffs or Staves is the applicable plural use of these weapons. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, these two terms are interchangeable.
• Among staves that scale exclusively off Int, the best Sorcery casting implement for each Int threshold:
  • Demi-Human Queen's Staff for 10-40 Int
  • Carian Sorcery Sword for exactly 41 Int (but also requires 19 Dex)
  • Academy Glintstone Staff for 42-67 Int
  • Carian Regal Scepter for 68+ Int
  • Lusat's Glintstone Staff outshines the rest from 52+ Int, but increases your FP costs by 50%
